Re: Why is Sanilac part of the Detroit DMA?
The Thumb area of MI screams for a 100kW digital TV transmitter, with about 8 multiplexed digital subchannels. Place it just south of Bad Axe. Put 480i of the majors from F-S-BC and 2 or 3 digital subchannels on it.

Re: Why can't WHNE go to UHF 30?

Re: OTA channels MIA
Question on the 'Xtreme Signal' ant. When it's aimed to get WADL can you still get chan. 9+32 out of Canada and the Toledo stations. It looks like it may be too directional. I use an omni directional 15' up with a small amp to boost but the WADL is only an occasional get. From my location, aiming s...

Re: OTA channels MIA
I use a Xtreme Signal HDB91X in a Detroit suburb facing room, on a tripod mount with a 5ft pole. I cannot mount significant outdoor antennas, due to restrictions. The HDB91X pulls in great signal from that room, including a 42 mile shot over to WADL.

Re: New channel frquencies
I was looking at rabbitears the other night. I think the CW affiliate up there in F-S-BC area is switching to a 600kW transmitter when they do their phase 3 switchover from RF 46 to RF23. If so, they will be quite a powerful signal up there. You mention that they're going from 70kW ERP to 600kW ERP...

Re: 62.3 DABL ???
At least DABL won't cost me anything! Seemed like if they added a channel on cable the bill used to go up by $10...lol.
Glad I cut the cable TV outta my Comcrap service.
