Re: Roop Raj and Taryn Asher

There's probably not a chance in hell of 62 being anything other than a very distant fourth place for its first couple years. See NBC 10 Boston, Fox 46 Charlotte, CBS 46 Atlanta and Fox 17 Grand Rapids (excluding 10PM, where it had no news competition at time of launch) if you don't believe me. The ...

Re: Which mobile phone MVNOs (mobile virtual network operators) are best?

Another quirk I've noticed when comparing Mint to Ting: Mint seems to do a better job automatically switching my tower connection from 5G to 4G (LTE) whenever the latter offers a more consistent signal and faster data speed. On Ting, I was on 5G much more often, but inside my house, the 5G signal su...

Re: Craig James helps Whitmer win re-election

For me, this will be a tough choice. I'm undecided between Dixon and Craig.

Re: Which mobile phone MVNOs (mobile virtual network operators) are best?

Mint Mobile is offering unlimited data, calling and texting for new and returning customers for $15 a month for 3 months prepaid. Great deal! I just signed up. I think that offer is valid thru July 4 weekend. I had been using Ting since early May. Not bad for the money! With 1GB of 5G/4G data, my mo...

I agree. Gig should've went to Paul Gross. However, Kim is a better choice than Andrew and especially better than Brandon

Re: Worst firings in broadcasting

Bingo. Nothing else comes even close to that one.* (*assumes Dave Strader left the Red Wings / WKBD / PASS Sports of his own accord. I never found the story as to why he left Detroit. Was it by choice?) Also, why did Larry Oosterman, who was a terrific broadcaster, disappear from our cable airwaves ...

Re: See ya, Jerami Grant

I, too, was encouraged by his improved play during the final 30 to 40 days of the regular season. Now that I'm better aware of how crappy the 2020 draft class was, I'm not going to hold the pick of Killian Hayes over Weaver's head. There were probably no more than five players picked later than Haye...

I disagree, zzand. Pro-abortion legislation would never be able to get past a filibuster in the Senate.

That raises another question: will Dems try to pass legislation to eradicate the filibuster? I think Manchin would vote no.

Re: Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (19-1392)

I agree with today's ruling. Roe was ruled wrongly from the start. That said, the legal quagmire in Michigan needs to be resolved ASAP. The early 1930s law, for which a Court of Claims injunction presently exists, is written too simplistically. The election implications at the county, state and fede...

Re: See ya, Jerami Grant

I'll give Weaver a bit of a pass on Killian Hayes only because he managed to pick up Beef Stew and Saddiq Bey in that same draft. (Bey was a steal.)

Also, outside of the top 3, the top 10 of the 2020 NBA draft class has proven to be quite underwhelming.
