I don’t mind a 17 game season, assuming pre season is cut to three games and the bye week stays. There is worry about some teams having 9 home games and some only 8, unless you have more neutral sites such as London, Monterey, etc.

The LPTVs has their own lobby group, but I don’t know if they exist anymore. With subchannels being the norm, fewer and fewer LPTVs are affiliating with the big four networks in smaller markets.
