Threads is ready to smack down Twitter

https://www.threads.net/ Here is Facebook's version of Twitter. We will see if it can attract those that left after Musk unleashed his brilliance. I don't think it will have the same professional cadence as Twitter once was but advertisers are ready to support a competitor. For me, it will be easier...

Re: Suddenly The World's Problems Are Not Caused By US

I met a few homeschooled kids in college. If you have a college educated parent it might work. The biggest issue I saw, they were incapable of working on group projects. Maybe it was lack of proper socializing or they were never allowed to think for themselves at home, but I doubt they could work in...

His disinfectant comments were in the form of questions to off camera expert NOT a statement or suggestion to the public. Should he...

Re: Cocaine found in the West Wing

Maybe it was left over from Jimmy Carter's staff... I thought you learned libertarian. Amid all the festivities aboard the Delta Queen, there came an ominous telephone call for President Carter at about 8:15 last Thursday night. It was the new Attorney General, Benjamin Civiletti. He regretfully tol...

Misinformation is free speech? If you recall, Trump once suggested drinking bleach, and people did. He was crazy pissed being told what to do. https://www.politico.com/news/2021/04/23/trump-bleach-one-year-484399 Coincedently, since this is a thread involving misinformation, Trump never suggested d...

It appears that the judge is protecting free speech in this case. Misinformation is free speech? Did you feel the same way when then Senator Harris was spewing misinformation? https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/05/politics/kamala-harris-not-trust-trump-vaccine-cnntv/index.html If you recall, Trump once su...

I know, I know! BMW, Bryce and all the engineers on this site start whining. What is it about engiNERDS that makes them more susceptible to tinfoil batshit crazy ideas like homeschooling and religious indoctrination? Probably because they believe they can solve or maybe engineer a solution… I'm goi...

It appears that the judge is protecting free speech in this case. Misinformation is free speech? More often than not, yes it is. There are exceptions, but many forms of misinformation are protected by the 1st Amendment. And the Biden Administration informing Facebook that a user is in violation of ...
