Wait A Minute was from early 1966. Hit the top 10 on all the top 40 stations in Grand Rapids (WLAV, WGRD, WERX) about February of 1966. They had 2 follow ups that also got play in the Grand Rapids area later in 1966. Kimberly and Cheryl Ann. Neither of those two got anywhere near the top 10.

The last time I was in Fremont this past summer, I heard mostly the Whitehall LPFM on 98.9 in that area. It was pretty strong and very listenable too. Is the translator for 1260 now over running that signal in the Fremont area??????

AM 1230 WJEF/WCUZ very successful in Grand Rapids from 1964-1980. Continued as a simulcast of WCUZ-FM into the 90's. During most of this time carried Detroit Tiger baseball and was quite competitive with the other 2 big AM stations in town WOOD and WLAV.
