WHNE and Mohu Leaf
Today I picked up the Mohu Leaf, and surprisingly, it picks up WHNE's VHF signal indoors in Melvindale. I thought it might just be a DX so I tested my Clearstream 2Max, and the 2Max didn't get WHNE. While the leaf is still getting WHNE! I am very surprised. :hat I'd still recommend using an actual l...

Channel 26
Is anyone able to get CHWI's flea powered signal on channel 26? Are they in HD? What's the PSIP callsign? Any SAP audio transmitted?

Re: CBC article about stations going off the air
I don't think Windsor TV stations would be a top priority for keeping on the air, since most of them just air the same stuff as Detroit stations. CBET is the safest, since they have a lot of exclusive shows, and they even have cable coverage in SE Michigan, and I they're on Buckeye Cable in all regi...

Re: Locast Streaming Local TV Channels In Detroit
Well good, now WHNE can be seen easily by all of the metro area, and now Sanilac County can get free local TV too, because they're too far from the towers to get them OTA. WHNE made a post on their facebook about this, and they're pretty excited. As am I, since my VHF antenna setup has been pretty f...

Re: 7.3 audio issues?
Yesterday they did their weekly EAS test, and the audio was gone for 45 minutes after on 7.3, while audio was on the rest of their channels. The video even glitched out on 7.3 at one point, and it wasn't a signal issue, the signal was being transmitted, as if their feed of Laff was being interfered ...

Re: RePack Phase 8 started
What antenna would be best for trying to get WHNE now that they are on low vhf and no one sells low vhf antennas. I contacted Solid Signal and they recommend the HD8200XL. Wanted to hear what people think before I order anything. With my hd stacker, (I know it is not made for low vhf) I can get WHN...

Re: Retro TV WHNE
You could just mount a set of rabbit ears outside at some moderate height. You'd get a substantial increase in signal. Nope, not sturdy enough. The rods are not made of the same sturdy thick metal that outdoor VHF yagis are. They'd snap off in the wind. Here is a recommendation from a man that I me...

Re: Retro TV WHNE
Getting a new antenna is not "hoops of fire". I've said it before, indoor rabbit ears may work. You don't necessarily need an outdoor antenna. You'll need to get 2 pairs and disassemble one pair, and tape it to the other so it's long enough for channel 3 Did you not see the post that stated WHNE se...

The low power displacement filing window began 4/10/18:
WUDL filed for UHF 35 on 4/10/18
WUDT filed for VHF 8 on 4/11/18
Those 2 stations were very quick to pick their new channels, so it's not like WHNE had a lot of time anyway.
