Re: EMF expanding in Green Bay

When I saw this post, I immediately knew what it was. In Missouri(can't remember where) KJMO Calls moved to a different place on the dial and The other station just shut down. So, Cumulus it seems is ready to unload some of these smaller stations. Sounds like the GA station would maybe be good for ...

Re: EMF expanding in Green Bay

That sale (along with a rimshot outside of Albany GA) also means that WTOD 106.5 is the only station left in Cumulus’ post-bankruptcy divestiture trust.

Re: New Sports Radio station? About F'M time!

Who would run it? iHeart doesn't have an FM to give up, Cumulus wants out of Detroit (otherwise 93.1 would be in consideration), and Beasley failed with 105.1.

LOL they may be forced to sell now. Crazy.
If Pacifica ever had to bite the bullet and sell (which will never ever happen voluntarily) EMF is the only logical buyer.

Re: End of The Road for WBAI 99.5fm NYC pt 2

The irony being that stripping the local content will increase the ratings for WBAI and helps stabilize everything at Pacifica. Very little is on the side of the former staff: their programming had no ratings (thus preventing them from any hopes of CPB funding), they were a financial drain on the fo...

Re: End of The Road for WBAI 99.5fm NYC pt 2

Time to sell. Easier said than done, if it can even BE done. EMF would pay them a king’s ransom for an Air 1 flagship but the organization will never give it up voluntarily. WBAI’s staff won a court injunction against Pacifica, but went back to a studio that Pacifica totally dismantled. The station...

Re: Andy Stuart out?

I suspect 105.5's terrible ratings performance didn't help his cause. Even with K100 as a powerhouse, and XKR and RQN solid performers? Take out 98.3 and 100.7 (translator formats are lucky to get a 2.0 in the 12+ beauty pageant demos) and rimshot 106.5, and Q105 is left... the only actual laggard ...

Re: Sean Baligian?

New member here. Excited to join y'all. Why did 1130 drop Sean's show? No local sports show in Detroit morning drive is a shame. I don't count 97.1 Also where can you find Sean on Iheart. You can join me in my monthly quest to beg Cumulus (or whoever ends up owning it) to flip 93.1 to sports. They ...

Except for 1470, of course. There’s also the fact WMIM is “technically” a Monroe station.
Few people were aware 1470 ever existed or that it died.

Since Tower 98.3 was blown up, no one has been aware of WMIM's existence, either.

FedMed's done really stupid stuff in the past (see their botching of WOWO under Gregg Henson) but this is a new one, even for them.

Picture from the Toledo Blade article today shows the paper can't be bothered by sending someone out to take a current picture. https://www.toledoblade.com/image/2019/10/02/1140x_a10-7_cTC/FEA-stuart25.jpg To be fair, it's credited as "Cumulus Radio building on Arlington Avenue in Toledo, Thursday,...

And....could somebody tell me why those WOHO call letters aren't being used by some station in the state of Ohio?
Last they were used was on the CP for what became WVXG 95.1 in Mount Gilead in the early 1990s. Thought someone would have claimed it by now.

Re: New WKYC logo

This was done by the station itself, not by Tegna. And for those who want to hate on it, I’d take it over the Boring McGraphics from Scripps, Sinclair, Fox and Nexstar, hands down. The promos have a European vibe to them and is unlike anything that has ever been attempted on US broadcast television....

Re: It's official - 105.9 Kiss is now owned by Beasley

I don't hear any difference in the sound of the station whatsoever. Same VO talent/Station ID's, and the evening love show was always there, nothing new. I have a tough time understanding Beasley taking over and are leaving everything the same and not making it their "own" .... Why would a broadcas...
