Re: 101.9 wldr
Fleetwood Mac had a rocky start. They really didn't take off until their sound mellowed in the mid 1970s. They had some success with Peter Green, but once he left (and Jeremy Spencer too) the band really fell apart. They had their moments (Hypnotized) but didn’t become superstars until Buckingham a...

Around 1pm today, WBNZ played: David Lee Roth "Goin' Crazy" A cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well" (unsure who it was, but it wasn't the original) Van Halen "Me Wise Magic" (one of the two songs Van Halen recorded during a brief 1996 reunion with David Lee Roth) This stunt on 92.3 reminds me of 103.1...

Re: The Blarney Stone Broadcasting Legacy
Assuming 106.3 is going for the middle aged female demographic, why not play Christmas music until all things are worked out? That would have made far too much sense, wouldn't it? However, I'd wager good money that Blarney Stone could screw up a female-focused Christmas format station if given the c...

Re: The State of TC/Northern Michigan Radio
Interested in your input on this topic, reading all the posts from TC Talks and others. According to the Coynes (here's an ironic blast from the past - https://www.rbr.com/trans0929/) the revenue in the radio market today is around $14 million, down from $20MM in 2009. That would make it tough for ...

Both signals are Class A's. Also, WMTE has been operated by its buyer for the last yearMWmetalhead wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 5:48 pmThose prices are unbelievably cheap!!!
I presume no owner-occupied real estate is included in either case.

Re: 101.9 wldr
I still would be surprised if any of Henderson's stations are sold with this round of NBI's. He paid 3.25mil for WLDR, and overpaid for the Benzie/Manistee properties too and I just don't see him getting what I suspect he feels they are worth. A cluster of 3 went for 6 million in Denver a while ago...

Re: Straits Country 97.7 and WMTE-FM 92,5 are going to be sold.
1. WMTE-FM is on 101.5, not 92.5
2. WMTE-FM isn't a simulcast of WMJZ (they might air the same songs in the same order, but each station airs their own ads)

Re: 101.9 wldr
Much of Northern's cluster will soon be broken up, as deals are becoming lined up for each property; which will move to various buyers; including the multiple signals presently used to air ESPN. I would imagine the agenda of the new various owners would be to put new formats across those frequencie...

Usually, an equivalent Class channel is required for substitution. 244A was substituted for 278C. Dave Schaberg and Jim McCluskey tried to put 280A 103.9 into Big Rapids back around 1980, but then WTCM-FM moved South to serve Cadillac better, and 272A 102.3 was substituted for 280A 103.9, and WAAQ ...
