Re: Testing 1 2 3
I was going to use it to test my new door and dog camera. Then I thought I'd test posting images again.

Re: Mount Pleasant 11/27
It only takes 1+ dB to capture, easily turned around with a DA. You can build one, put it on a tripod out in the open, and get 2, 3, 4, or maybe more cochannels or first adjacents to locals on each channel regularly or all the time. Re: WHNE channel 14
On Channel 20, the ERP is 15 kW. The application, which was just reviewed on 11-30-18, for Channel 3, the ERP is 3 kW. Both are directional, with a maximum to the NW and a null to the SE. From my limited knowledge of LPTV digital applications, and reviewing the recent filing, I'd say everything is i...

Chicago Radio 1979
My relatives sent me this section of the Chicago Tribune in 1979. Finally found it online. Kind of mean spirited in places.

Hey, Sam Riddle has wanted a radio show on WFDF since he was a child. WAMM already had a Sam.

I want to see the DA proofs. I want to see what the measured conductivities are before I would jump to any conclusions.

Re: Rimshots
If you look at an old list of FM stations by frequency in an old Broadcasting Yearbook, you'll see that 93.3 and other frequencies were nearly always less occupied. One reason is the preclusive effect of the general set of Big City frequencies {92.3, 93.1, 93.9,...,107.5} precluding first adjacent C...

Re: 1310 Translator and Cars 108
I have noticed the same thing. What was 1:1 and you could find holes, now I don't find holes. 54 dBu protected contour extends to Yates. With the 5/23 runway gone at Bishop and the Davison Airport gone, they should revisit the possibilty of 500 feet HAAT. A few 1 watt boosters just within the 54 dBu...

HD Noise Cancellers
Does this sound to you like it would help receive first adjacent FM BC channels by canceling IBOC interference? And is there any hope of a design for an AM IBOC sideband canceler? Many of the best DX radios now are functionally useless because of IBOC sidebands. http://ham-radio.com/k6sti/ibocharm.htm

Re: Fight The Power (Of Nearby Cochannel and Adjacent FM Signals)
A BIG improvement is the front to side lobe ratio, which is very important for rejecting cochannel and adjacent channel and IBOC interference.

Fight The Power (Of Nearby Cochannel and Adjacent FM Signals)
Here's some plans to improve the performance of the FM-6 Antennacraft Archer FM Antenna. Now where to find the FM-6 now, don't know what to tell you. If you are good with tools and have the time, you could build some of the antennas described on this site also.

How about a return to WJR-FM? WLS-FM is tearing up to the top in the Nielsens in Chicago.
