Re: From All Access this morning (WPFX has been sold)...

Dan Haslinger is an entrepreneur, and real estate investor. He originally operated WJZE as a standalone. Studios were near the old Woodville Mall. Eventually, he leased the station to Dan Dudley, who, at the time, owned 106.5 "The Buzz". Haslinger got out at the top of the market, in 2005, selling 9...

Re: From All Access this morning...

Who the heck is Patton Advertising Enterprises? If it's a startup - good luck to Toledo Radio, LLC in collecting the $762,000 seller's note! In any event, thanks for the info. I hope the current format stays. Dan Haslinger. I guess he wants to play "radio station" again. Dudley must really want to ...

Warren isn't all bad. If nothing else, he's local, and still cares. These days, that's worth something.

Re: WLCO Lapeer, off the air

Thanks. I knew one of the 1530's had a Critical Hours restriction, but could not recall which one. It's a shame there's not a lower frequency this clunker facility could operate on. Daytime only is bad enough. High on the dial makes it worse.

Sooo, besides ftballfan who obsesses about Roy and floats that he's selling about every month, anyone else heard about WLDR being for sale?

No one?
Roy will never sell to Trish. ftballfan is truly delusional. But we already knew that.

Is WLCO required to reduce power during CH?

Re: 105.5 WBMI goes silent

WBMI certainly is a challenge. I may be wrong, but I don't believe it was always a standalone facility. Seems to me it was part of group of stations based in Alpena for a time. Someone here probably remembers. WBMI sounded best in the 80s as I-105, a Top-40/AOR hybrid. My suspicion was they were usi...

WLCO Lapeer, off the air

Anything new on this? Last time I dialed past WLCO while driving on I-69, the audio sounded like a faraway station during Critical Hours. But now that I think about it, WFNT sounds only slightly better.

Re: 104.7

WIOT could be temporarily using the WCWA tower due to the aforementioned TV tower work. That's where they were when I worked there.

And to MW, I think you mean Meridian Township. There's no such place as "Okemos Township"...one Okemos in this world is enough. :lol

They tried to unload 1530 years ago but found no takers, ever for only $250,000.
ONLY 250K? :rollin

Unless the transmitter site is worth somewhere close to that amount, they are out of their collective minds. :lol

Re: wllz

There was like 5 minutes of dead air after the deep cut of the day, "Let It Go" Def Leppard, before "Summer of 69" Bryan Adams. Almost thought Doug Podell passed out or there was going to be another format change. I heard that too. Rotten timing, in the middle of PM drive. Earlier in the day, there...

Re: Iheart Disloctation

WNDE Indy dumped their afternoon show, meaning no local programming left. 1430 canned their only local show last year. Three sports stations in that town, with only 1070 having any sort of Indy sports talk. The afternoon team in Indy should have offered to buy that time slot, and continued with the...

Who the hell would want to listen to a Tom Mazeway podcast? Let me guess - one of his first interviews will be with that senile goon, Lynn Henning. Wrong again, my rancid colleague. It's the brilliance that is Frank Beckmann, who's speaking to Henning as I type this :lol I have never understood the...

Re: WJR shits the bed again...this time with a 2.2 share!

Funny you should mention Nashville. Cumulus' WWTN Supertalk 99.7 has very good local hosts. The station has been doing quite well. One host is Michael DelGiorno, who is on from 9 to Noon CST, and is much better than the vast majority of local hosts nationwide. For those who don't remember, Michael'...
