Indeed. They were looking for a leader to "kick ass and take names". The Jews have been kicked around for pretty much all of their existence. Hence the popularity of Bebe today.

Re: So 2 Corinthians Walk Into A Bar...

And here's my rub: Jesus wasn't a politician, nor did he let a civil document allow his faith to be corrupted. Did Jesus swear to uphold the government's rules? Romans 13:1-5 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist ha...

Re: So 2 Corinthians Walk Into A Bar...

So, 2 Corinthians walk into a bar... The 1st Corinthian asks the bartender if they have entertainment. Matthew, sitting on the other end of the bar tells them Ruth's new Acts is a favorite of the Romans. "Why?" asks the 2nd Corinthian. "Because", reply's Matthew, "During the 8:00 PM show while doing...

Re: Snyder admin. willfully poisons Flint's water customers

...Doing so reeks of being purely a political hatchet job and people taking delight in finding a Republican whipping boy. Ohhhhhhhhhh puhhhhhhlease!!! Bryce, you've always been one of my favorites around here, and I've alluded to that fact on numerous occasions, but...Good Lord Almighty, I've seen ...

Re: A More Measured Analysis Of The Flint Water Crisis

Doing some "web research" it seems, at least in 1997, that 4.4 percent of children six and under measured higher than the government standard for acceptable levels of lead nationwide. Wasn't the Flint test at 2.2 percent? Hmmmm Any accidental lead exposure like this is a crime... Be it 4.4 or 2.2.....

Re: Civil service rules in Michigan *must* change

They were suspended without pay, although under civil service rules, the unpaid status can only last seven days. The internal investigation into further action against the two employees should take a couple of weeks, said Kurt Weiss, spokesman for the state’s department of Technology, Management an...

This is a highly interesting read, regardless of one's view on Governor Snyder's handling of the Flint disaster: http://www.nationaljournal.com/s/352793/snyder-calls-flint-his-katrina-catastrophic-failure-leadership?mref=mostread_home_1 To the best of my knowledge, this is the first & only detailed...

Re: A New York State Of Mind

As far as "New York values" go, what speaks "New York" and "Wall Street" more loudly than Goldman Sachs?!!! Ya know, the institution that floated him a bullet loan at some ridiculously low interest rate. I don't see the problem with this loan. It was a margin loan. The loan was taken against their ...

Re: 2016 Presidential Polls

I would love to see a demographic breakout of Clinton supporters vs. Sanders supporters. I never did understand the DNC's coronation of Hillary as their candidate for the very reasons Bryce mentioned earlier. Barack Obama kicked her butt back in 2008. That in & of itself should've prompted Democrat...
