Re: Any Robin's Yet?

I started hearing them in the trees and ornamentals a couple weeks ago and in recent days have spotted a few in my yard. Rabbits and squirrels have also come out in force within the past 7 to 10 days.

Re: Channel 95.5

Exactly. There is no room for a second CHR given the current state of the format.

96.3 has already increased rhythm gold spins and eliminated all music prior to 1995 from its playlist.

...and that would none other than WOOD-TV's, Henry Erb. He's been working at News 8 for as long as I can remember watching local news (I remember seeing him on the air 30+ years ago). He does a PHENOMENAL job. I greatly enjoy his no-nonsense, informative, well-researched reporting. We need many more...

"Big Rig." Voicetracker used on numerious iFart rock & classic rock stations. For years, he was based at 98Rock in Tampa. Not sure if that's still the case.

-An 125mph EF-2 touched down in Vernon. Path length was 18.2 Miles!
A remarkable storm for Michigan given its longevity and peak strength. The fact it occurred in the first half of March makes it even more remarkable.

This station & Columbus station - at least during this weekend - have still played exactly the same songs at exactly the same time.

I would love to hear "Blurry" by Puddle Of Mudd
They've been playing that song regularly.

The Rockets were added this week, for those looking for material by them.

Re: Last Night's Storm

Not even a flicker for me. It was nasty outside for five minutes. Marble size hail and 45 mph wind gusts at my house. It did rain incredibly hard.

Re: From All Access: Nate Bell Out at iHeart Media/Detroit

Turnover has always been high in the programming ranks at WMXD and WJLB, for whatever reason.

It's 4x as bad at the Urban One stations.

Well stated, NS8401.

Scripps' is a poorly run company with no clear sense of direction (other than the WRONG direction!).

I saw a little bit of the 4PM abomination today. It's bad. Really bad.

Re: Channel 7 proves its idiocy yet again...

Carolyn just cut off Dave Rexroth so that Ali Roxie could give a useless on the ground report from Ann Arbor, nowhere near the portion of Washtenaw County currently being hit by the storm. Goddamn channel 7 is stupid. Alan Campbell keeps dispensing wrong info, and Rexroth is constantly having to cor...

Tornado crossed or came very close to the I-69 / M-13 junction.

NWS called it "large and extremely dangerous." Wow.

Re: Channel 7 proves its idiocy yet again...

Yes, she literally said that at 530p. Verbatim. The only bad weather was up in the thumb at the time. The storms out west were still two hours away from the heart of the viewing area. They'll weaken some by the time they reach the heart of the metro. Sun will be going down; there is more instability...

Channel 7 proves its idiocy yet again...

I just heard Glenda Lewis implore viewers "not to head outside right now," claiming "the worst of the weather" is "yet to come." Un-fucking-believable. There are no severe weather watches or warnings in the area. The storm line to the west is broken and mainly moving northeastward (toward Flint & mi...

Ben Bailey can't forecast worth a shit...

For Yesterday - on the previous evening's newscast, he forecasted a high temp of 48 with rain lasting into midday and cloudy skies pretty much all day. Instead, we got nothing more than a tiny sprinkle, had plenty of partial sunshine in the afternoon, and it got all the way up to 58 at my house. For...
