I hope the all-request Friday continues for a long, long time!
If Governor Whitmer has her way, it just might. They promote it as a fun-music-at-home type of format for during the pandemic when you can't go to work.

Re: Imagine It's 1982

Perhaps more comparable to today's situation would be this: 1982 - executive orders banning any and all sexual intercourse.

AIDS would be all but eradicated. But of course, in about 90 years, humans would be extinct.

I think days in the 60s will outnumber days in the 70s over the next week. 60s? More like 50s Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, with Monday maybe struggling to even get out of the 40s. That is, if you believe the GFS temperature forecasts. Every update they keep getting colder and colder and colder. htt...

Sounds like you're implicitly supporting TC's repeated posting of outright false information in these forums.

The real question, TC, is who in here still buys YOUR BS? Once again, you are pedaling outright fake news. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/2009-trump-tweet-pandemic/ https://www.snopes.com/tachyon/2020/04/Copy-of-Untitled-1.jpg I hope Matt is reading this. TC - ADMIT YOU ARE WRONG! DO IT!

Re: Making work at home permanent

Me personally, I could do half of my job from home - if I had a proper work space, which I don't. The other half I pretty much have to be at my shop. I know opinions on this probably vary a lot, but even before the pandemic I was worried that people in society as a whole were becoming more isolated,...

Re: Wisconsin Supreme Court rules “stay at home” unconstitutional

People who don't get vaccinated will be a non-issue because again - herd immunity. As long as roughly 70% of the population either has antibodies from having had the virus or has been vaccinated, the virus will be all but choked out of existence. The other 30% of the population then doesn't matter.

Re: Wisconsin Supreme Court rules “stay at home” unconstitutional

Herd immunity. I'm all for whatever it takes to get us there the fastest way possible without overrunning the hospitals as that is the ONLY viable solution to this. Anybody who thinks that: A) a vaccine is the magical solution, and/or B) that we can hold out that long ...will be sadly disappointed t...

Re: Wisconsin Supreme Court rules “stay at home” unconstitutional

I would add to this that this is what happens when you issue unconstitutional orders and abuse your power. The governor is acting like he bears no responsibility for the fallout that is happening right now (ie, bars and taverns are now open and packed with people). When you lock people up long enoug...

Re: Wisconsin Supreme Court rules “stay at home” unconstitutional

My bad. I did read that wrong. (see TC Talks - that wasn't so hard to admit I got one wrong). I don't know what the Republican-controlled legislature in Wisconsin has in mind, but if it is anything like what the plan Michigan Republicans had (someone here posted a while back a link to a very compreh...

Re: Wisconsin Supreme Court rules “stay at home” unconstitutional

The governor of Wisconsin is a clown. This is what he had so say last night: Today, Republican legislators convinced four members of the state Supreme Court to throw the state into chaos. They have provided no plan. There's no question among anybody that people are going to get sick. Republicans own...

Re: Wisconsin Supreme Court rules “stay at home” unconstitutional

I've been reading through some of the order. It is quite scathing of Wisconsin's governor. At one point, the majority finds that the governor "cites no authority for this vast seizure of power," calling parts of her order "obvious overreach." Ouch! Order 28 goes far beyond what is authorized in Wis....
