Re: FAVE TV

FAVE TV has launched as of December 14 across the CBS Owned and Operated stations group. It is only available over the air (ch. 62.4), with a collection of ViacomCBS content like Paramount movies and off-cable programming. BTW, the name is similar to that of a religious broadcaster/website, but not ...

Filling the Void

The saturation spot buys from the soon-to-be-legal online betting apps have filled the void left by the welcome departure of political ads from the local TV outlets, both broadcast and cable. I cringe upon seeing and hearing the clone spokesblondes Jessie Cauffield (Draft Kings) and Courtney Perna (...

My remote isn't working.
Batteries need replacing?

They’ll replace the remote clicker (or the box) for free if it’s actually bad.

This is not realy "news" to anyone who has an interest in radio.

Re: Judge Blocks Trump Interference in VOA

BUT..........it is OK for the Swamp Media to be the Propaganda outlet for the DNC...??? BUT...... it has been OK for right wingnuts' own dominance of corporate AM broadcasting, and multiple cable networks and broadcast groups, to be State Media/Propaganda outlets for the RNC and its emperor...??? Re: Pretty cool. 7's Hally Vogel has a greenscreen at home

Surprised you'd even need one anymore. Most of the remote video services support virtual backgrounds. Virtual backgrounds with Zoom and others are really not all that great, as they attempt to separate the speaker from their natural backgrounds, which are usually uneven, too dark or heavily backlit...

Re: Triple Jeopardy

WDIV, not "NBC," made the error in running the incorrect show, and cutting the Final. Jeopardy is syndicated, not network, programming. The producers have already got the show sequence set into January, after Trebek's last show. A friend in the Boston market confirmed that we had the wrong show, and...

Re: Ham Radio Question

There are internet-based repeater linking systems, which is how you were hearing a far-away ham on a local repeater. A widely used system is called EchoLink. To participate, one registers with a central clearinghouse site, and must be a licensed amateur radio operator. The system can be accessed fro...

Re: How many have dropped Sirius/XM during the pandemic?

But I might try that cancellation threat. It worked for OnStar. This is applicable to just about every "automatic renewal" site or service. Always intercept their customer service site before the auto renewal date and make cancellation noises. They are fearful of losing customers, especially those ...
