Re: Yes! Re: Any News On New WLLA OTA Signals?

Out of curiosity, what airs on 64.2? MeTV For further insight to MWmetalhead and others: The MeTV on 64.2 is broadcast in 720p. It's been that way since late July last year (2019). Hogan's Heroes during the 10pm hour each weeknight looks amazing--better than when we were kids! It was mentioned to m...

Re: Any News On New WLLA OTA Signals?

As of now (Thurs. 5/28 around 6:15pm), the announced sub-channel changes seem to be in place:

64-3 as Heroes & Icons TV...with an episode of Monk on.

64-4 as Decades, per the logo bug. I'm unsure of the black and white content.

64-5 as retrotv, per its logo bug.

Enjoy! ~~ Statmanmi

Yes! Re: Any News On New WLLA OTA Signals?

I came here to say this too Trophyhead! I also saw the slide around Midnight on 64.3 & 64.4, as well as the move of RetroTV to 64.5. Per the station’s Facebook post, they intend on having these diginets’ content streaming by June 1st: https://www.facebook.com/385602832544/posts/10157726394452545/ “W...

Filings and other postings about WYHA

CK-722 and I had the same idea--look for FCC filings. To paraphrase the retired WOOD TV 8 engineer as he once posted in a national TV forum, something along the lines of, "The great thing about TV is that everything is a matter of public record." Although in this case it's radio--but still all has t...

Re: TV RF Channel Changes

Glad you update Trip makitaman. He continues to patiently wait for me to gather and forward TSReader logs for the stations I receive. Earlier this month my RCA mast-mounted pre-amplifier quit being reliable. I and my wife don't want me to risk some sort of fall from the ladder or roof, so I've tempo...

Re: (Ultra Geeky warning): NOAA weather radio for GR area is about to move to new TX site

How best could someone tell if this transition happened? The broadcast audio still cites as being from KIG-63, not yet WZ2560. I've listened recently 3 different ways: -- Older radio with Weatherband -- New RTL-SDR dongle (Which also has pulled in a few other weather radio signals, depending upon wh...

Re: Updates ... WIAA 88.3 Interim

Hi All, While looking up information for another thread update I completed, I came across the WIAA STA filing from February noting that they have an interim solution in place for 88.3 MHz on the Harrietta tower. Excerpt: WIAA OFF THE AIR FROM 12/16/2019 (SEE FCC FILE NO. BLSTA - 20191223AAL FOR SILE...

Re: TV RF Channel Changes

Hi makitaman, I'm catching on from other sources that the WWTV translator ("repeater") by Traverse City did make the switch to RF25 earlier this month. They didn't seem to mention it on their main website, but Google found me their Facebook post: https://m.facebook.com/9and10news/ph...57&__tn__=EH-R...

WFHD-LP ... RF2 filing

they could try asking for VHF 6 or VHF 2... VHF 4 is reserved for wireless microphones, 3 is used by WHNE-LD and 5 is used by WLMB-TV in Toledo... but those are the only realistic options left for them. WWTV: 9.5 = QVC & 9.6 = HSN

I hadn’t yet seen a mention of this.... About 10 days ago, WWTV RF 9 added sub-channels 9.5 & 9.6. Previously they were simulcasting 9.3 & 9.4 respectively, but at a noticeably lower bit rate (pixelization evident). Today was the day that the likely permanent content was activated: QVC & HSN. Yeah. ...

Re: Governor to do a town hall on several Detroit TV stations

7&4 in Traverse City didn't air the town hall, allowing Wheel and Jeopardy to air as planned there. I'm assuming 29&8 aired it, as well as at least one of 9&10 and Local 32 I found that both WWTV 9 & WFQX 32 had the town hall on last evening. I say this because I flipped through my OTA channels dur...

Re: WOTV Post Repack

Just today Nextstar filed for six more months for WOTV, citing among other things that contracting a tower crew is unfortunately restricted due to the COVID-19 situation (as can be expected). The attachments to this Tolling request (construction permit extension) provide the insight: https://enterpr...

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

WUPW is a Phase 8 transition, March 13 cutover. The "Last Go-Around" Phase 9 is May 1, and, closing it out, Phase 10, July 3. Except that Low Power TV stations (Non-Class A; and often abbreviated as LPTV), and Translators, are independent of the phases prescribed by the FCC. Also, Canada's repack s...
