Re: RePack Phase 8 started

Today I got prepared for WHNE's switch. I took my old cable splitter in the basement and replaced it with a coupler connecting the living room line with the master bedroom. My plan is to get rabbit ears in the master bedroom (the only north facing room in my house with a wall plate), use my 12 dB am...

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

WHNE is hard at work getting the new transmitter ready for March 13th. So I guess that means they can't test on 3 yet? It's a good thing Heartland live streams and that all 300 Red Green episodes are on the Red Green YouTube page. Anyone see if WLPC has started testing yet? Or if 23, 31, or 38 are ...

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

When it comes to the whole Friday the 13th thing, I'm not superstitious, or even a little stitious.

This has derailed quickly :rollin

But in all seriousness, I, as a Christian, pay no attention to superstition.

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

Ah yes, March 13. Why couldn't it be scheduled for July 34 or February 48?

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

WHNE recently aired this message: "WTVS is going to be testing their new transmitter. WHNE will be off the air during these tests." This better not interfere with my Red Green. Better yet, WHNE should air their 12 streams on VHF 3 during WTVS's tests. Maybe there are factors preventing them from doi...

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

Does anybody know if WHNE has ever been testing on channel 3?

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

WHNE aired a scrolling message on 14.2 last night regarding the repack. Yet again showing that they are the most competent LPTV station in Detroit.

Re: Gray(WILX) purchases WLNM-LD

Maybe Lansing will finally get GetTV back! And maybe even get some of the less common subchannels, like Laff or Decades

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

They should have done a channel sharing arrangement with the other widely-receivable LPTVs in Detroit.

6 of WHNE's channels could have gone on WUDT's signal
3 on WDWO's signal
The rest on WUDL's signal

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

If their new signal direction is a northern pattern I hope they leave a bit of the radiation for Windsor to pick up with a good antenna, and were not in the null. Here's the pattern, you'll have to find your direction . Ignore the field on the lower right, the only ones that matter are effective ER...

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

The 6.5 kW STA expires April 16, 2020, after that, they'll go down to 3 kW unless the permanent 6.5 kW application is approved. The app doesn't need to be approved before 4/16. The FCC can either approve, deny, or leave it in limbo, the latter of which seems to be their intention. No matter what, th...

Re: Antenna TV gone?

When WLPC-CD was an unprotected LPTV, it was on analogue 26, but they moved to digital 40 and upgraded to a class A when CHWI's Windsor repeater moved to that same frequency in 2012, from its original position on channel 60, which was phased out in that year. CKCO Sarnia was gonna move from analogue...

Re: Antenna TV gone?

WMYD has the best signal of any Detroit station. I can pick it up with a coax cable plugged into my TV without being hooked up to an antenna. Sometimes if the conditions are right, I can get it without any cable being plugged into the TV.

Doesn't mean WTOL cant pick up Ant TV, its one of the better classic tv channels.
Tegna doesn't like to have more than 4 channels on their stations. Looking at their rabbitears.info listings, none of their stations have more than 4 channels. Maybe if they remove Grit
