Re: WLPC Moved to 28

I did receive WLPC on UHF 28 for a straight 3 days in a row, it was very weak and only came in at a signal rating of 45% at very very specific antenna positions, but considering they only would run at 8 watts in my direction, I think someting was indeed wrong.

Anyone know why channel 32 (ONT) has dropped off the dial?
Spectrum auction put them on the same frequency as WUDL, and WUDL hasn't moved yet

Re: Why can't WHNE go to UHF 30?

Go to govregs.com Go to §73.623 Find the first table, first category on table is D/U Ratio.......Co-channel", third line reads "DTV into DTV......+15". Strange suprise LII seems to have either left the table out of their site, or my smartphone could not open the table. I am quite sure that the co-c...

WFHD-LP

In April 2019, WFHD was sold to Max Henry & Associates, and nobody even noticed.

Just oy vey, where are they gonna be displaced to? I thought their license wasn't even renewed in 2013! We don't need this on top of everything else the spectrum auction has cursed us with!

Could channels 2-6 (54-88 MHz) be used for ATSC broadcasts at first?
The FCC is not giving out new frequencies for this

Re: Helping someone get WJBK OTA in SW Wyandotte

Getting a Clearstream 2Max and connecting the coax to the back of the UHF figure-8 can get WJBK, CBET, WTOL (WTOL is unwatchable), and WTVG in Melvindale, the latter two only come in with an RCA 12dB amplifier. This is indoors. It performs well on Hi-V without the VHF dipoles. It also performs well ...

Re: WMYD To Host Detroit’s First ATSC 3.0 Signal

Well, the FCC isn't handing out new frequencies for this testing, so WMYD will have to channel share with WDIV, maybe on both the 1.0 and 3.0 signals. WMYD will probably lose both its subchannels, they may be moved over to WXYZ 7.5 and 7.6, I hope so because I love Antenna TV and I'd hate to lose it

Re: New channel frquencies

WDWO is now airing 5 subchannels: 18.1, 18.2, 18.3, 18.4, and 1.1!!! That's right, a virtual channel 1! The only other 1 (no pun intended) is KAXT-CD San Francisco.

Re: Why can't WHNE go to UHF 30?

I'd love to see WHNE go to full power on channel 3. Be loud and proud, baby! Being full power would attract more digital subchannels for them at conventions. I don't think they can convert to a full power license. They could try to run at an ERP of a full power low VHF station, as they have applied...

It would cause digital glitching.
With ATSC 1.0 or 3.0 or both?

What causes it? I heard 72-76 MHz transmissions. Could a channel/band reject filter get rid of that? You'd think Comcast would have saved them rather than put them in a landfill.
Both I guess, I don't know much about 3.0 though

Re: Why can't WHNE go to UHF 30?

Can they get an STA and borrowed equipment to experiment with ATSC 3.0 on Channel 3? Like WKAR-TV's ATSC 3.0 operation? I volunteer to do studies on a Channel 3 ATSC 3.0 signal, if they give me a TV with ATSC 3.0 or a converter. Seriously. Contact me if you are interested. I'm about 15 miles from t...

Re: Why can't WHNE go to UHF 30?

Depending on antenna orientation, there would also be diagonally shaped silver or yellow lines zipping across the screen at all times on VHF 3. I think the diagonal lines would only be in analog. Whether what caused the diagonal lines would disrupt the digital picture transmission in some way, I do...
