Re: Holy Shnikies! What’s wrong with that Marysville council candidate?

Want to see a really depressing town? Take U.S. 23 south-southeast of Toledo and drive through Fostoria sometime. Screw that, go to Delray. Many of the streets (like Lyle and Pulaski) are gone in favor of a water treatment plant. When you go down Jefferson and turn left on Cottrell, then congratula...

Yeah even when there's Tropo around, I don't even get HPS.

If you use a high quality indoor antenna like the Clearstream 2Max or the Mohu Leaf, you could definitely get WHPS

Re: What is your favorite subchannel network?

If it's a nonprofit, you probably can't have any commercial networks. I think the best option would be to have city council meetings from Warren, Troy, and Sterling Heights, the three cities that make up the Warren Consolidated School District. Or school sports events. Maybe also public domain movie...

Re: What is your favorite subchannel network?

Okay so to clear everything up-- WPHS-TV is a planned sister station to Cousino High School's radio station, WPHS-FM. Our goal for releasing it on streaming is late 2019/early 2020, and for terrestrial station in 2020. It'll be a low power station serving Sterling Heights/Warren and the surrounding...

Re: What is your favorite subchannel network?

Antenna TV, Get TV, Heartland, Cozi TV, Laff, Decades, Me TV, and Buzzr. And most importantly, what is WPHS-TV? A planned sister station to WPHS-FM. I'm working on the project and went into it further in another post. We're hoping to get it up as a stream in late 2019/early 2020 with a broadcast st...

Re: Is cord-cutting (specifically OTA-only) hard for the Lansing area?

Cozi TV is horseshit. The picture is so squished and grainy. I've never noticed any problems with Cozi's picture. Forget about getting Cozi in Jackson County, as the closest affiliates are the flea-powered WOBC-CD Battle Creek at 277 watts, with a 272 foot tower that is knee-high to a gopher turd. ...

Not to mention all the collusion in Canadian media, such as CBC and CTV being in cahoots with the cable and satellite industry. Bell would be the equivalent of the following American media companies merging: CBS Viacom Sinclair iHeartRadio Spectrum Verizon Over in Canada, owning cable channels of a...

Re: CICO-32 in Windsor

Once CBET went digital, it became a fringe signal for me. My two antennas point in the Saint Clair Shores and Southfield directions now. That gets me all of the Detroit majors, including WADL. If the CBC were smart, they would boost power and add subchannels to CBET. Add some unique subchannels and...

Is cord-cutting (specifically OTA-only) hard for the Lansing area?

I live in Metro Detroit, and there are so many great diginets here I can't believe aren't in Lansing. And WLNS sharing with WLAJ didn't help matters. Here are some of my favorite diginets (and selected shows and my comments in parantheses) that aren't in Lansing. GetTV (Sanford & Son, Grizzly Adams,...

Re: Am I the only one who's tired of Jimmy Fallon's format?

If the shows contain political satire then it’s political. Yeah but I'm talking about general entertainment and I would prefer we don't bring politics into this because what I don't want here is a political shitstorm, so if we could not talk about politics in this thread and focus on how entertaini...

With Decades coming to WJBK 2.5 than who needs WHNE LP.
Anyone who wants to watch the offerings on Retro network, or the quirky crapshoot of never-identified flicks that is the "Classic Drive-in" movie channel, or, something that's not Decades.
