Re: Haley Stevens Roop Raj political commercial

Roop has worked hard to make himself one of the best politically connected reporters in the market. He seems to have a real good relationship with the Trump campaign.

Re: Scripps question (WXYZ related)

Political ads are what's carrying everybody right now, should be a decent 3rd and 4th quarter for political but retail advertising is way down and Art Van left a giant hole both in accounts receivable and in future add buys. All of the stations in the market took a bite out of that shit sandwich.

Re: 13 Nuns

As far as I know everybody ran the story. Without knowing any details, it seems like some convents are more or less old folks homes for retired nuns and highly vulnerable to a Covid-19 outbreak.

Re: Palace explodes

The airport is where it's at and the only competition is Toledo and Flint. The Palace was easily accessible to maybe 10% of the metro Detroit population and had the newer LCA, centrally located, competing for shows, events and paying spectators. Sadly looks like LCA will be shuttered for a while.

Re: Palace explodes

Same can be said of Detroit Metro Airport for folks who live in northern and central Macomb County, St. Clair Shores, Roseville, Rochester Hills, Waterford, etc. I think the difference is that if you have to take a flight to get to where you are going, you have to drive to the airport. You never ha...

Re: Palace explodes

It was a great experience for a guy in his 20's and I still have friends from that time that I see at other venues and events. The only thing wrong with t...
