Re: Thanksgiving Panic Attack
I refuse to be treated like a child. No curfews for me, no restrictions on my free movement, no shutting down of anything I want to do. I am fully capable of assessing risk and planning accordingly. I never had COVID and never will because I protect myself. All these losers that are getting it are ...

Re: RIP 89X
99.5 WYCD has been slipping a bit, mostly due to listeners deciding to try out 93.1 Nash FM (99.5 was pulling in 8's for a while, now they're down to a 5, while Nash went from low 1's to a 3 or so...) but it's still a *very* successful country station, and clearly rules the roost in the area in rega...

I do but it's difficult... plus, on DVD/VCR/ATSC combo, it shows up as 19.x, overwriting TVO...
I don't really see much that interests me on the subchannels they air.

Re: RIP 89X
I think we can all agree that November 19, 2020 is "The Day the Music Died" in Detroit, with how two semi-successful formats (98.7 The Breeze and 93.9 The River) and a down-but-resurgent heritage format (89X) were all killed very unceremoniously. In time, I can see this having similar importance to ...

Re: 98.7 Alternative!
I think the main reason that 89X and 93.9 The River stopped advertising to Detroit was from how they got in trouble with the CRTC and FCC for trying to turn their Southfield sales office into a remote studio for direct cross-border operations (which is a mega no-no to both regulators)... so the CRTC...

Re: WUDT 23
I bet if WNWO were to file an interference complaint with the FCC, Daystar will be told that they *must* vacate the frequency, since their unprotected low-power station is interfering with a protected full-power station....

Re: 2021 predictions
I'd say no... plus, 2020's been such a wildcard that it's impossible to know what's coming even next hour... as we literally saw in this thread earlier today.

Re: WUDT 23
I think they'll move once WNWO in Toledo fires up its more powerful transmitter and causes massive interference to it... 275 kW at just 75 km (45 miles)... yeah. that won't be pretty.

Re: 2021 predictions
89X and 93.9 will continue to bore audiences everywhere but will trudge along. Well, one of these stations will be boring their small audiences with a different format come tomorrow. :rolling It's not even 2021 yet and already these predictions are out of date... is this thread cursed, or is someon...

So, where will the subchannels land? will they just vanish?
