Re: 2 Hours Off... with Pay
Bdl: it’s not that easy. Sinclair has contracts and non-competes that prevent us from applying at 5 or 12. Plus if you try to break the contract, they go after you for thousands, sometimes tens of thousands of dollars, in “liquidated damages” plus attorney fees. Which isn’t possible if you’re makin...

Re: 2 Hours Off... with Pay
While Sinclair is giving us 2 hours off with pay, across town at Gray's WJRT, employees are getting a real bonus... a 3% pay increase. https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2020/12/3/gray-offers-up-bonuses We've made a lot of sacrifices over the past year and we get a lousy 2 hours off. The Corporate D...

Get on the ground and put your hands behind your back....doesn't mean run for you car and grab a gun.

Re: WNEM All-time Dream Team
Eric Ghila was never a meteorologist, just a “weather forecaster.” But who needs to be a meteorologist anyway? Eric honed his skills on the radio prior to going to T.V. Unlike many on the small screen, he was genuine. Plus, he had a beard way before they were "cool". Having a beard before it was co...

Re: WNEM All-time Dream Team
Peyton and Waters were not meteorologists. They were just guys who read the weather, while John McMurray was the meteorologist providing the forecasts. Must have been the thing to do. Eric Ghila was never a meteorologist, just a “weather forecaster.” But who needs to be a meteorologist anyway? It's...

When you are wearing a mic...always consider it to be hot. That's what one can take away from this.

Re: TV5
I receive my TV5 signal "over the air" (antenna). I didn't write it down when I first noticed, but I would say 1-2 months now. The last time I emailed TV5, they would not even respond. Thus I drew the conclusion, it was fruitless. If you contacted Garth directly and nothing was done...then you did ...

Re: TV5
As most of you know, TV5 has 5 HD channels, being 5.1 through 5.5. On channel 5.5 it seems that devoted the offerings to Court TV. What I have noticed, that the audio does not match (out of sync) with the video. It is like watch an old third rate Godzilla move. This seems to have been going on for ...

Re: Happy Independence Day
It's tv. You work weird hours. You work holidays. It comes with the territory. Your boss owes you nothing. They give you a paycheck. If you don't like the amount, you move on. If you want to be promoted, you work towards that goal. I did not want my boss's job. Too political for me.
