Re: Donna Smilovitz, Bernie's wife, has passed away

He's a columnist, not a reporter. His personal voice being inserted into the article is exactly the difference between the two.

Re: Drew Lane interview

The Janet Jackson 'wardrobe malfunction' during the Super Bowl Halftime Show was what I saw as the turning point of the show. After that the FCC started cracking down on indecency across the board. As a result, they 'weren't as funny anymore' because of having to scale back on the outrageousness tha...

Soviet incompetence resulted in far more casualties than anything strategic they came up with.

Re: Update - sale of WDRQ to Family Life Radio CONFIRMED

LOL, people on this site spent 10 years ripping this station down for literally anything and everything. Now, suddenly we're bemoaning its downfall? Some of you people should be dancing in the streets, the way you hated on this simply for existing.

Robin Murdoch was sleeveless this morning. For me, there's just something about bare shoulders.
I'm guessing you had quite a thing for Carmen Harlen, then.

Re: Power Outage Map

Folks who were without power paid ZERO for any power generation or transmission (or any of the other associated costs) while they were without power. Ridiculous comment. People are paying to put gas in their generators, if they're so lucky. Paying for hotel rooms to stay at in order to stay warm. P...

Hasn't Mike been dead for years? Doesn't that make the podcast have a creepy vibe?
No. It's done to honor him. Same reason the Rockin' New Years Eve show still has Dick Clark's name on it, because they know that without his legacy, it wouldn't be what it is today.

Re: Pistons writers are blowing smoke up everyone's ass

It's almost like this is a team of young guys who are building blocks to the future, and the writers are taking the angle of trying to get fans excited about them. The same fans that in three years, if all goes according to plan, will be packing the arena and watching them on TV.

If this is the "same thing" that happened at MSU, then why isn't the media covering this as aggressively as it did Nassar? That's what has MSU folks angry, that and ESPN and its ilk linking Izzo and Dantonio to behavior they had nothing to do with. It has nothing to do with the school. Everyone in ...

Re: Howard Stern's first day on in Detroit Spring 1997

Stern would have done fine here if Drew & Mike hadn't of been here. They had fiercely loyal listeners and they'd built their base on the local angle. Stern couldn't overcome that. I'd sometimes switch over to Stern during a commercial, but would immediately switch back over to D&M as soon as they we...

Re: Jeopardy

If you think about it, Ken Jennings already has about 50 hours of actual 'on-air' experience that others wouldn't yet have except Katie Couric. I hope that they give about 6 people each one week at the job. I'm still thinking LeVar Burton, Bob Costas and another sports play by play announcer would ...
