Re: Mount Pleasant 11/27
Yeah, CCW's signal mostly goes to the north over the water. Aside from when strong conditions from Northern Michigan come in down here in Fremont, it's all Chicago and Detroit here and Green Bay is very common too. Traverse City is comparatively rare on the frequency. WCCW is the easiest of the Tra...

Very long shot: WMTR buys 106.5 and keeps the sports format (with both 96.1 and 106.5 airing Los Tigres)

Re: Mount Pleasant 11/27
WCDY is running Christmas music. You pulled WGPR over WCCW I was surprised that I got WCCW at all in Mt. Pleasant considering how bad its signal is in Manistee and Ludington. However, my biggest surprises were getting WGLQ with no sign of WXYT and getting both WQLQ and WYCD with 100kW WUGN next door

Re: Rimshots
I am able to get WKQZ and WCEN here in Grayling. I have actually got WKQZ as far as Cadillac! That is in-part due to WKQZ's luxury of being the only station in the entire state, both Upper and Lower Peninsula, broadcasting on the 93.3 frequency. Speaking of which, how did they get so lucky? That's ...

Re: 2020 Election Predictions
I feel that the Democrats will have an advantage on the national level in 2020. From the Trump 2016 map, MI, PA, and WI will likely flip back based on midterm results from 2018; Dems swept governor and senate races in each state. OH could stay in the Trump column as the GOP won the governor seat (op...

Speaking of bad recruiting classes, Hoke's last two classes had many busts, but did have some key contributors (some of which are fifth-year seniors on the current Michigan team)

Getting WEMP up on the northern shore of Lake Superior is very impressive. I would have expected WKLZ on 98.9 before WEMP

I have a Tecsun PL-390 and I've been able to null out WIAA, WOLW, WTCM, WKZC, and WJZQ, just to name a few

I have heard some ads on my (fairly brief) listens today, from the following businesses:
Dynamic Physical Therapy (ad mentioned Gaylord, but Dynamic has a location in Manistee as well)
Parkdale Auto Sales
West Coast Farm Equipment (Onekama)

Re: 98.7 The Breeze (Soft AC) is here!
I think this is a good move as mainstream AC has almost evolved into "songs that were big on Top 40 radio a year ago"

Re: TV RF Channel Changes
Even in the early days, I'm surprised how few translators there were in rural Michigan. I know WGTU and WGKI/WFQX had translators in Alpena and WFQX had translators in Traverse City, Sault Ste. Marie, and Pickford. I'm surprised WJRT or WZZM never put translators in northern Michigan before 29&8 cam...

Re: Format change at 101.5 Manistee (recreation of lost thread)
For most of its history, 101.5 WMTE has been oldies/classic hits of some kind, including its entire run before its silent era. Since its return to the air in 2016, it was soft AC (moving from 97.7 WMLQ) and then the previous AAA format
