Another odd thing about the Ramada Hammond lineup is that they carry Hallmark Movies and Mysteries but not Hallmark Channel

Re: Now we know where WQAN was broadcasting from!

Well, they could fix it so that the contour fits inside the 60 dBu contour, and just have the WLDR tower STA, which is likely what they are after anyway. And since when has the FCC cared about interference in the last few years, with all the IBOC sidebands and legal translators? What about boosters...

Re: Now we know where WQAN was broadcasting from!

Just saw that WQAN has applied for a STA for two sites: 1.8kW nondirectional from its licensed site: https://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/forms/prod/cdbsmenu.hts?context=25&appn=101807626&formid=911&fac_num=14646 650W directional from the WLDR tower: https://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/w...

Not happy with 300 ft and 3000 W ? :D
Was that on 100.9 ? I see 3000 W and 328 ft HAAT listed !!
Was the station licensed to Allegan or just located there ?
I think that was what is now WZUU before it moved into Kalamazoo proper

Now we know where WQAN was broadcasting from!

Saw this on another board: https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments ... 8715A1.pdf

99.3 WQAN was broadcasting 1.45kW from the WLDR tower in June 2019 without an STA.

Kind of odd that WSRW and WBFX subscribe to Muskegon Nielsens while WOOD and WSNX (both of which are licensed to Muskegon) don't subscribe

They're only three losses in front of the Orioles for the worst record in baseball!

With the way the Tigers are playing, 110-115 losses are very possible

Re: 99.3 WQAN Signal Strength

Heard 100.1 on the air yesterday weaker than 92.3 and 99.3 with a simulcast of Q100 (at one point yesterday, I was able to get Q100 on 99.3, 100.1, and 100.3). Neither of the three appear to be full strength, but their terrain advantage (the Forrester Road site is about 300 feet above Crystal Lake) ...

Chicago over Suring on 102.7?

Fun fact: WVAZ is one of very few full power Chicago's I've never heard here (I've even gotten WKSC over WTCM a couple of times!)

Clare is part of Flint/Saginaw/Bay City DMA as far as I know. I always thought the technical boundary was M-55.
Clare has gone back and forth, but has settled in the Traverse City/Cadillac DMA in recent years (in no small part due to 9&10's stick being in neighboring Osceola County)

Re: Old county weather maps

I wonder if the Green Bay stations ever included Manistee and Mason counties on their weather maps. Outside of its DMA, it appears WJRT still includes Clare, Roscommon, Alcona, Sanilac, Livingston, and Oakland counties. I would also imagine Clinton, Ingham, Eaton, St. Clair, Oscoda, and Alpena count...
