Re: Sunny 92.5 / 97.5 Nash Icon
West Bend mostly. I have not heard DeKalb in a long time, and now W223CN Zion (Lake Villa). I’ll have to try harder. I did hear it once when it was The Outlaw. It’s at the same tower site as WZZM (13) and WHTS. I’ll keep an ear out for it.

Re: Sunny 92.5 / 97.5 Nash Icon
Both run straight from Westwood One satellite. They have for many years. I’m guessing the dead air was problems switching the satellites in the computer, then they have to put in the liners, etc. I’m streaming 92.5 (I never hear 92.5 here) It sounds like they’re running the Westwood One AC network r...

Re: Sunny 92.5 / 97.5 Nash Icon
I believe it puts a stronger signal for Nash Icon into parts of Muskegon It also pulls the format out of listening range of Grand Rapids, thus removing some competition for 107.3 That's the only reason I can see them doing this other than play-by-play. I believe this will be the third country format...

Re: The Ticket West Michigan
They have to order equipment (Antenna, Transmitter, Processing) then they have to setup STL, all of that. Depending on how much of a hurry they are in, it could take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. From what I’ve seen elsewhere in the past, it can take a couple months.

Re: 94.5 The Q - new format is Adult Album Alternative
Got the signal here in Wisconsin for about an hour on Saturday. Didn't sound bad at all. Processing sounded about right for the format it has. First time I've heard the signal running anything other than Country since Thunder launched in 2004. Easy null around WKTI when conditions are right. Heard 1...

Re: 94.5 The Q - new format is Adult Album Alternative
It’s new. New stations tend to have tighter playlists regardless of format. It will have to grow over time, which includes hiring of staff. This seems to be more of a hybrid of AAA and Alternative (Which Cumulus has done before on certain stations) but it has a much more full blown AAA presentation....

Re: 94.5 The Q - new format is Adult Album Alternative
[quote="Michigan Media" post_id=558461 time=1547926410 user_id=7501] I should have clarified. The current station ID on 94.5 is "WTNR Holland and WBBL Greeneville/Grand Rapids." Why include WBBL in the ID if 94.5 and 107.3 are no longer simulcasting? I would give them a pass if it was a generic ID t...

If HD-2 is Smells Like The 90s.. https://www.iheart.com/live/smells-like-the-90s-6437/ Real Oldies (The music log for this has been used on HD-2 channels before. Raw simulcast of this stream is on WRIT HD-2 in Milwaukee. They used the music log locally as “The Mighty 92” up until a few years ago) ht...

Re: Z96.5 in K'zoo is now 96.5 Jack FM!
WMTE is AAA. WQKL in Ann Arbor is also AAA. Not the radio format Alternative. More friendly on the Adult acoustic type, singer songwriter, some Classics. WHLS calls itself “Rock 105.5: Port Huron’s Alternative” Basically Alternative (Lots of Twenty One Pilots, Muse, Gorillaz, Cage The Elephant, U2, ...

Re: Z96.5 in K'zoo is now 96.5 Jack FM!
Despite their branding, WHLS in Port Huron is basically Alternative.
