Did someone forget to pay the jingle bill? Lol
IMO, it sounds sleepy and cheap without them. What are they thinking? Plus Magic Matt sounds like he is doing his drops from a cell phone.

Re: Brandon Roux can't forecast...
To Brandon’s credit, NOAA was calling for the winds to slowly decrease from this morning, but for gusts still in the 20s mph range late in the afternoon. The winds calmed at a quicker rate than expected.
In Northville this afternoon, it was mostly cloudy.

Windier than predictions?
Just like the last few days, Local 4 predicted wind gusts much lower than what’s out there. I see even NOAA is underestimating. For today, I’m seeing predictions of 20-30mph gusts. Oakland County just reported a 46 mph gust. To the weather experts on this site, am I the only one noticing this? I’m s...

Re: WRIF 50 year b-day?
In 1976 or so, WRIF was even playing a bit of Stevie Wonder, and Earth, Wind & Fire from their albums at the time. The playlists reported on Radio and Records showed this. Interesting....

10”?
Andrew Humphrey’s map at 6:00 showed 10” of snow for parts of SE Michigan. Yet, we only have a Winter Weather Advisory. Do you think that this is typical weathercaster hype?

WGPR HD2
I’m assuming that this is recent? The music so far resembles the old WGPR.
On a separate note, who runs this station these days?

Re: Ben Bailey cannot forecast worth a shit!!!
It’ll be interesting to see what happens with the weather this weekend and early next week, as the next polar vortex has been predicted. Some models show lows in the -9° range early next week. A few weeks back, the Weather Channel predicted February to be above normal in temps, and March to be much ...

Soft AC on 93.1? Back to W-Lite would be cool, which had that 10+year run starting in ‘85. Does Cumulus do Soft AC in any of the markets that they serve?stopnswop2 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 8:28 pmFlipping DRQ to soft AC would be wise.

Yes - too bad it’s gone. It’s funny that it still was using “new” after two years. I’m amazed at the fact that the library was so small for most of its existence. IMO, it was most interesting in the first few months. I remember hearing some softer ELO songs, and songs such as “You and Me” by Alice C...

Between More 94 and the recreation of the Big 8 Sound (1992-ish); and certainly before Arrow and the Jeff Zippy Crowe days there was “I-94” in early 1991, which was an early classic soul format.

You forgot to say “All New” 98.7.
For the regular format, I know that you can’t fare well in the Nielsens with a large playlist, but I’ve always been amazed that they have the same, very small playlist for a long time. Don’t similar formatted stations in the country have larger playlists?
