98.7 is on the 80s bandwagon these days. I see that they still have an ultra-slim playlist.

Just give it about 6 to 9 months....The station will start sounding like 105.1 in its last few years, after they migrated away from the “Magic” name. More Katy Perry, more Gaga....ugh...

Seems to me that an admitted non-listener of either show would have a hard time convincing someone that these shows are chock-full of hateful content. Your point is well-taken, Motown. Maybe I don’t listen enough. Whether one agrees or disagrees with the content, I’m just comparing what you’d hear ...

What are everyone’s thoughts on this pairing, while Jamie is off this week? IMO, it doesn’t sound too bad. I always thought Jamie sounded better with Wojo.

I’m still amazed at the small playlist, even by today’s standards. Perhaps 200 songs at best? Even doubling to 400 would be great.

Bring back “You and Me” by Alice Cooper, Ian. And how about “Heart Hotels” by Dan Fogelberg? And more Eagles.

All our happy little morning forecasters on the locals today called for brightening skies, and close to 50°. Epic fail! Lol...it’s been overcast and upper 30s/low 40s all day.

Why would Entercom try to create a station close in sound to another of their own? Chadd and Kristy sound like Stephen and JoAnne. The music on 98.7 sounds more and more like 104.3 these days. Both stations’ ratings will suffer.

What’s sad is that the format won’t last more than two years. They’ll blame a dying format, as opposed to realizing poor execution of a format that can work. It’s starting to feel similar to the crappy changes to 105.1 that were made during the last two years of their AC format.

In December, 98.7 was playing You and Me, by Alice Cooper; and Stand Tall, by Burton Cummings...two awesome songs that fit the format. I wish that they’d re-add them.
