Re: Amy D fired from K100?

I thought Andy Stuart was able to justify keeping Timmy and Becky by having them VT two other stations while they were on their 93.5 shift? Is that no longer the case? Bill Stewart's voicetracking is so obvious, it's horrible. So what's the deal, BS gets one hour pay to VT 4 hours? Bye Amy- you tho...

Re: HD 2 and 3 stations

I have an HD radio, but have never hooked it up. Is 98.7 still offering Smooth Jazz on one of their HD channels?

Re: Another horrendous book for Q105

Time to blow-up the station. Christmas music would be a great start. There is no "listen at work" station in Toledo anymore, and that's what is needed with a lite station, or go for the gold, and take the Bob Kelly idea - listening to LPFM 97.7 - for a high school 100watt station, damn good program...

Re: 101.9 wldr

Any update on Roy's condition? Roy has a beautiful home on Lake Conroe, north of Houston. Not that I sympathize with Roy as a wayward broadcaster, but I am certain he would rather be home than in a hospital bed in freezing cold Grand Rapids.

Re: Warren Pierce

The Inside/Outside Guys basically replaced Glenn Haege (America's Master Handyman) when he passed away. They're not bad, but they're not Glenn. Cheap substitutes at best.

Re: Warren Pierce

My guess would be some sort of paid programming. Say what you will about Warren. At least he was a local voice.

Re: 101.9 wldr

Roy isn't the only clown in this clown show. What kind of a knucklehead enters into a LMA for radio stations that are technically impossible to operate? The WBNZ site was designed for ONE station, not three. There would have to be a plan in place to correct this deficiency, and I don't think there e...

Those prices are unbelievably cheap!!!

I presume no owner-occupied real estate is included in either case.
My moles tell me the WMTE real estate and tower is included. Somewhere around 8 acres. As the old saying goes, the value is in the land.

Re: Warren Pierce

I used to enjoy Dick Purtan's spoofs of Warren Pierce. Those spoofs were quite accurate! Word is, Warren hated them, which makes it even funnier. Warren's popularity was in the 1970's, as WJR's evening host. His show was a mixture of music and conversation. He was still Warren, but for that time sl...

Re: Andy Stuart out?

Pretty big news as one of the last radio moguls to reside in Toledo, he ran ClearChannel in it's heyday with Shaffer pissing off Carty and the Blade, afternoon shows on WSPD that pissed off minorities, but it delivered ratings and probably some ad dollars. Then he did stupid stuff like fire Jim Fel...

Re: Andy Stuart out?

Well... if this is 100% true then I am not surprised. The Toledo Cluster looks awful, XKR,RQN,and K 100 are fine, but the rest of is an epic mess. 105.5 at a 1 share, 106.5 and 100.7 are not going to be bread winners but my god there pathetic. Clearly, something isn't working here in terms of direc...

Fred is extremely talented, and deserves better treatment than this. At a minimum, he belongs back in Detroit, or in some other major market. Let the CMU grads cut their teeth in bush-league markets like Lansing.
