Re: Breaking News: Unemployment 13%

New job creation is a different catagory that is also measured.

In all seriousness... these numbers are good but they are also a little misleading... many of those jobs are just rehires...
How is that misleading? Isn't the hope and desire that people will go back to work and become re-employed? The reason unemployment got where it got is obvious.

Statistics and perspective.

By way of full disclosure my oldest daughter is a cop, a former son in law is a cop, and a sister of a son-in-law is a cop. So I won't deny I have a pro-cop leaning in general. Here are some numbers I crunched. My sources are the Washington Post, Statista, the US Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor S...

Re: Oh, just another white cop kneeling on a defenseless black man’s throat until he dies

Has anyone seen the video between the time they first confront the man and the later video where the cop has him on the ground? Not me...yet. I saw him handcuffed and upright walking. As to what happened after I don't know. But the guy was handcuffed when he was on the ground so there was no cause ...

I only go to one or two Tiger games a year at most. I would skip those and watch all on TV.

Re: President Schlissel just might’ve caused an uproar

Are you fucking serious? The football program generates 99.9% of revenue at the university. Not to mention 92% of the endowment comes from alumni supporters of Michigan Football. In fact, contributions made to the endowment from football actually FUND other sports programs.. INCLUDING basketball an...

Re: Lock Down Boredom

Here in Ann Arbor they reopened the 10 acre dog park a week ago. That is on my daily list of diversion.
Other than that and the occasional grocery trip we watch too much television.

Re: NBC Swamp Media again.

The disclaimer that it was "inadvertent" is beyond belief for a reasonable person. I wonder if they did it knowing they would get caught but also knowing the initial deception would play well with their agenda and the half ass apology would go mostly unnoticed by their target crowd. To be fair I und...

Re: April Radio Ratings

WJR increased bigly because almost all the other stations, TV and Radio, have a Hate Trump/Blame Trump Political Agenda. A lot of people put the blame where it belongs, on the people who were responsible for creating and/or isolating and exporting the virus, lying about it at every turn, and they a...

Re: Cal State University online this fall

A University of Phoenix education for Cal State prices.....is that a bargain or a fleecing? Comparing the talent at Cal State vs the "employees" at U of Phoenix is like Facui vs Trump on COVID. And comparing a classroom education with give and take between students and teachers with an at home expe...

Re: Schools Are Closed. Why?

While it may make some (but not much) sense to close schools in the Wayne, Oakland and Kent county areas, much like the state wide lock-down, I just can't find the logic in closing schools state wide. I think I read, or heard, somewhere early in the schools closed process that state law comes in to...
