Re: Old TV and Movie Cliches

A minor detail introduced in the early part of the movie will turn into a crucial part of the end of it. Here's an example. Early in the film we find out the Villain has a peanut allergy. At the end of the movie the trapped heroine gets away by excusing herself to put on some sexy, finding some Plan...

Re: Old TV and Movie Cliches

A car chase that ends with a fruit cart being demolished. When someone is watching TV a western is on, (you can hear bugles and war whoops.) During the last scene of a TV series that last shot is one of people walking out a door. The killer who you think is really dead makes one final attack. Nearly...

Re: Classic Soul 105.1/The Groove

WDET music programing seems to be on a obscure soul music jag, Partially because this is the 60th anniversary of the founding of Motown. Today Ann Delisi's program played Aretha Franklin's version of Skylark, (which is actually a jazz song) And O Jays track I've never heard, and Joe Tex.

Re: 106.3 Sarnia

I remember hearing that station on a trip through the Thumb circa 2013 /2014. I thought they playlist was kind of cool. In roughly one hour I heard Chilliwack, Prism, Ted Nugent, and Bob Marley. Maybe they've changed in the last few years.

WDET Sound Trouble

Has anyone listened to WDET in the last few hours? The sound has been cutting in and out. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Re: Rap music on WLLZ HD 3

Did 106.7 play The Beastie Boys or Kid Rock or did they completely go all Rap all the time? I'm a little unclear.

Re: What Are You Watching?

I haven't had a working DVD player since 2015, but you can buy seasons of TV shows through Xfinity On Demand. I've been watching the first three seasons of Life In Pieces.

Re: Theme Songs From TV Shows That Were Hot 100 Hits

This wasn't a TV theme, but ABC used to use The Love Unlimited Orchestra Love's Theme as transition music for it's golf coverage in the 70's. In my head that song has always seemed to me like a theme song for their coverage, (every time I hear it I think of golf.) I know that song was a hit.
