Re: Dumping Buckeye Broadband's TV service, saved $125

Updates: Fubo now offers WTVG/13 ABC in Toledo, so decided to stick with them for now. Called Buckeye to see if they could beat Fubo's monthly rate, they couldn't. So, saving at least $50 per month, even though I'm paying Fubo's regular monthly rate. Did upgrade my Buckeye internet from 250 GB per m...

Re: Gannett and McClatch drop AP

Maybe AP gets funding from Cumulus/Westwood One radio, since Westwood One offers AP Radio News to their affiliates. I think Bloomberg Radio also uses AP.

Dumping Buckeye Broadband's TV service, saved $125

Since Buckeye Broadband decided to retire their "Media Gateway" I decided to drop their TV service, just to see how much I could save. My bill went from $313 to $187. I still have internet and phone through Buckeye. Not sure what my long term replacement will be, but this month, got Fubo for half th...

Re: 910 am super station breaking news

Thanks for the correction and additional info. Did 910 ever settle on a network? Last I read they were splitting time between ESPN Radio and Fox Sports Radio.

Re: ABC Stations in New York, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham to Premiere 10 A.M. News

Guess it makes sense, though since they needed a replacement for Rachael Ray. Interesting to see how Tamron Hall does in her new afternoon time slot.

Re: MeTV finally on UHF in NYC

I'm also surprised none of the major network stations picked up MeTV for any of their subchannels.

Re: 910 am super station breaking news

Not sure about that. ESPN Radio may be on a barter basis, meaning the station agrees to air a couple minutes of network spots per hour and the station gets several minutes per hour to sell locally. Also, wonder if Mel Karmazon's "Good Karma" would buy am 910. Good Karma owns ESPN Radio affiliates in...

Re: 2023 Network Cancellations

A few shows that I thought might get cancelled but were renewed for another season include: Lopez Versus Lopez, Not Dead Yet, and Bob Hearts Abishola. I really like all three shows, so it was great to hear they didn't get axed, especially Bob Hearts Abishola, which had a rather dramatic season finale.

Re: 2023 Network Cancellations

Really loved "The Company You Keep" but figured it was a goner the way the season/series finale ended last week.

Re: Dan Bongino out at WJR in May

LeDuff or Langton? Didn't Langton have a show several years ago on what was then "TalkRadio 1270?" I think he was on mornings until the station switched back to sports. I don't know if LeDuff ever did talk radio.

Re: Dan Bongino out at WJR in May

Dennis Prager is a great alternative to Bongino. While I don't share either of their political views, I do like some of Prager's special hours, especially his Male-Female hour on Wednesdays. He also does an "ultimate issues" hour every Tuesday and a happiness hour on Fridays. They're sometimes non-p...

Re: Dan Bongino out at WJR in May

Another replacement possibility may be whatever Fox News Talk has running at that time, since I think WJR still has an affiliation with Fox News Radio. Maybe Brian Kilmead?

Re: Dan Bongino out at WJR in May

I think Tony Katz also cohosts a weekly show with "Fingers" Malloy called "Eat, Drink, Smoke" which might fit WJR's audience.

Re: Dan Bongino out at WJR in May

This is probably a very very longshot, but "Michigan Man" Rich Eisen? His show is syndicated by Cumulus/Westwood One and would be a nice break from the political talk normally heard weekdays on WJR. If he was chosen to fill Bongino's time slot, I would be thrilled and would definitely tune in, but a...

Detroit Tigers in Spanish on radio?

As part of the MLB.TV subscription, radio broadcasts are linked to, for each team. This year for the first time, I noticed the Detroit Tigers offer a Spanish radio broadcast. MLB.TV lists it under WXYT-AM, which I assume is "Bet 1270." Has anyone heard it on AM 1270? Not all teams have a Spanish bro...
