Re: B-93 Birthday Bash Postponed/Canceled. Again

You may not be aware, but there was Classic Country on 101.3, 20 years ago.

A live morning show, canned jock work otherwise, and Dave Ramsey in the evenings on WCUZ. Had been that way, in some fashion for several years.

They dropped it in the Fall of 2000 for "The Fox."

Re: WXLA 1170

The format change and call letter switch took place on 6/29/84, according to the irrefutable Wikipedia. That same source cites 2005 as the year that the signal went up a tick to 1180, and they billed themselves as “10,000 watt WXLA.” MacDonald got ahold of the signal a year later and programmed for ...

It’s a hook, albeit a flimsy one, but it’s working.

They stick in your head, if not in yer heart.

How Many Members in WZZM’s Weather Club?

Samantha Jacques with WWTV/WWUP (9&10 News) announced on Twitter that she is coming into the market as a weekend meteorologist on TV 13. I presume this is Alanna Neahring’s old post, wasn’t there some fellow from Ohio who got the job first? Just wondering who’s filling the roles these days, didn’t f...

Re: Upward Mobility

As to the question, “Remember Z-Rock?” Yes, I do! Was it not used in an interlude by the Waters family when 105.3 WCXT was still beaming out of Oceana County, about the Spring of ‘87? I enjoyed the team they had on air prior to that, and believe that crowd was gassed to accommodate the satellite fee...

Re: Any News On New WLLA OTA Signals?

The answer appeared early today, with slates explaining that 64.3 and 64.4 would serve as conduits for H&I TV (Heroes and Icons) and Decades. Retro TV has already shifted out to 64.5. H&I carries some of the same western content found on MeTV, along with a daily dose of Star Trek Original. Will read...

Any News On New WLLA OTA Signals?

I am getting video black on 64.4 and 64.5, a first in my experience receiving this station.

The return of the THIS movie channel or the arrival of Movies! or Decades Television In Kalamazoo/Grand Rapids would be welcomed, any specifics will be appreciated!

Re: Project Veritas: GR Edition #CBSExposed

Autoblemike, your point about WOOD Radio and the COVID-19 deluge they put forward in newscasts is lost in the thread about Cherry Health and its possible stage show for CBS News.

Re: Fox 17’s OTA signal...

It was 5 a.m. when I saw the newscast begin Thursday, (Some syndicated “Coronavirus Update” has replaced their previous local start time, the Business program still airs @ 4 a.m.) and it returned to service at some point in the afternoon. We also had a bit of an reception issue with WLLA in the even...

Fox 17’s OTA signal...

Is anybody else having issues receiving their stations today? A couple hours before dawn, I clicked by their news anchors while I headed to MeTV, and “Highway Patrol.” I used my controller to approach the signal on digital channel 19, it rolled onto 17-1, no content there. All other known quantities...

Re: Ron Cameron

If “having the inside dirt” means he is frustrated by having been left in the dust decades ago by both Price and Beckmann, then I concur.

Neither of those talents belongs on a Mt. Rushmore of Detroit sports broadcasters, but they make Ron a custodian at that National Park.

Re: Meteorologist Aaron Ofseyer Leaving WZZM

To borrow from the still existent Larry King, “Cleveland, Hello.”

WXYZ is in Detroit, and without having checked, they may be short a meteorologist at the moment.

WZZM is in Grand Rapids, in a different thread in this forum, it was stated that Ofseyer’s replacement is on the way.

FOX 17’s Darren Cunningham to Detroit

A little fresh content for the board... Last week, when the Governor announced the K-12 rest of the year closure, WXMI did a sidebar after Darren Cunningham’s live report, wishing him farewell. Cunningham was their long-serving “Problem Solver” reporter, probably most impactful on a piece regarding ...
