Re: Goodbye Decades Hello Catchy Comedy

I had the "pleasure" of seeing what I think was the first salvo fired by this new package, the "Full House" debut episode. Had the Decades TV "(The) Mod Squad" binge on into the overnight. Kind of sad that Decades promos were still running for shows now off Catchy's roster, but how efficient does on...

Re: "To The People" on 97.1

A fossil speaks, to note that there was also Sports Final, a 15-minute nightly report starting at 11:15 p.m. on WJR, before Jay Roberts and Night Flight 760. I never met or worked with him, but I understand Jim Costa is presenting himself well on 97.1 now. He was a young fellow who worked up his act...

Re: Scott Winters signing off?

Was going to throw a vaguely worded hint about Phil being the conduit for Scott's new direction out there yesterday. Good luck to all concerned, having worked and supped with both on so many occasions. Scott should draw the line on chasing Phil a Red Beans and Rice and a Diet Coke from Popeye's, tho...

The proofreader in me cannot stand idle, it is "Trish" of MacDonald-Garber Broadcasting. Small potatoes yes, minor points awarded for the first acknowledgement.

Re: Old soundchecks and TV commercials for West MI radio stations

I am a klutz, in that I don't pull quotes from above in a thread (pertaining to weathernut on ratings dive moves) and put them in my copy well. Also apologies for referencing another market, here. I was working at WILS in Lansing after Sentry Insurance bought them, reformatting "Rock 101 WILS" and i...

Brian Collins ^^^ has been working near 12 years as a producer for a Cincinnati search engine optimization firm.

You google their name and the first image that comes up is his LinkedIn picture.

Re: COZI-TV apparently on the sidelines, for now...

I got a "local special," which I believe was assembled by a broadcast engineer, (or procured by one, and came to me through Don Missad at Clear Channel) as the digital conversion took place in '09. It's a rooftop job, looks like what you would have found at Radio Shack back when, but with aerials po...

Re: COZI-TV apparently on the sidelines, for now...

Thanks for the info, MasterB, which is all I was ever after in this thread. I, like you with COZI, was a non-viewer of SportsGrid.

We'll see if the 54.3-5 signals wind up presenting any time soon.

COZI-TV apparently on the sidelines, for now...

Nexstar Media Group has shuffled its OTA side-channel lineup, taking the "Stadium" betting/sports channel to 15.2, airing TheGrio on 8.3, where Stadium had been and thus, it's COZI-TV seemingly on the shelf for the moment. I know 54.3 through 54.5 still read "New Channel Coming Soon," and would welc...

Re: Arthur Duncan

It still airs on WGVU in Grand Rapids Saturday evenings at 7 p.m, the station has a repeater in Kalamazoo as well.

I remember watching with my grandfather and father 45+ years ago, on in, but one would think it's of scant interest to most current PBS viewers.

Re: JoJo Girard’s last day at WFGR

A simple reaction to Jojo's replacement is this, "A Captain in a Can" isn't going to shake out additional cume or numbers for 98.7.

Re: JoJo Girard’s last day at WFGR

Just read on Facebook that this was the case. 98.7 is/was my wife's "listen" on her work commute. Best of luck to JoJo, nearly 40 years of morning jocking for one's career is the stuff of history, literally and figuratively.
