Re: K 106.3 becomes Cool 106.3

A pattern certainly seems to be emerging with regard to Blackburn's preferred cluster setup:
- 1 Hot AC
- 1 Classic Rock-leaning Adult Hits
- 1 Country

Chatham-Kent, Windsor, and now Sarnia-Pt. Huron all adhere to the above mix of formats.

Re: I'm mask-less and proud

I’m going to a restaurant today to treat my family for my 94 year old mother’s birthday. None of us have a mask and we all refuse to wear one, the restaurant does not require a mask and there’s a bar in this restaurant. If a business refuses anyone because they don’t wear a mask it’s their loss and...

Re: I'm mask-less and proud

I would argue Greece got it right.

Their population is almost identical to that of Michigan. Fewer than 3,500 cases and fewer than 200 total deaths.

He would be fortunate to sell it for 20 percent of that price.

Re: WOMC 90s Music - my additions

Entercom might just dump WOMC as we know it and do something different. Look at 104.3 in Chicago. Terrible comparison. 104.3 in Chicago was barely a top 20 biller as Classic Hits and was losing ratings ground to direct competitor, 94.7 WLS-FM. 104.3 in Detroit is a top 5 biller and has been for man...

Bars in college towns, Grand Rapids, and Royal Oak should be forced to close.

I agree; the shitheads at Fifth Avenue in Royal Oak and Harper's in East Lansing have ruined it for everyone. More than 100 new cases have been traced to Harper's.

Generation Z = irresponsible douche bags.

Some (not all) of the public parks in the City of Detroit are in decent shape; some city residents take a vested interest in their upkeep.

There are about 300 city parks in Detroit.

Poverty, substance addiction, abusive upbringing, and lack of education are the biggest contributors to crime.

She works in Denver at KDVR; Tampa's WFLA simply republished the story.

Re: WTCM-FM 103.5, etc.

Sub-100 size markets seem to be Townsquare's specialty. Look no farther than Lansing, Flint and Kalamazoo.

Grand Rapids is either the largest or second largest market by rank where Townsquare owns stations, and that market is barely top 70 by population.

Re: Roy H Selling Off?

Looks like the new owner specializes in Spanish language Christian programming.

The station does deliver a reasonably good signal to College Station and an OK signal to Bryan, if operating at full power. Between both cities, there are over 50,000 residents of Hispanic origin (about 25%).

So many police officers are total pigs who operate with virtual immunity thanks to their scuzzy unions and weak willed public officials.

Re: K 106.3 becomes Cool 106.3

I guess I don't understand the move. So far, the playlist doesn't look a ton different from what K106.3 played. The main differences appear to be a little less 70's rock, a somewhat mellower sound overall (K106.3 was already pretty mellow by rock radio standards), and absence of any currents or recu...

Re: WCXI 1160 Republican Talk Radio

I was hearing dead air at 7a this morning.

Beck's show is good; that's a good "get" for 1160. I'm a little surprised no station in Detroit cleared his show previously. (1310 aired it many years ago.)

Re: Did Your Local Meijer Stop Selling Single Beers?

All I know is I can get angus 85% lean ground beef (1 lb pkg) at Kroger for $3.99 per lb as opposed to the absurd $7.19 per lb the Meijer in Royal Oak charges! Meijer definitely has the best prices on breakfast cereal, fresh deli meats, laundry detergent, snot rags, and T.P. for my bunghole, but on ...
