Re: While Michigan’s Electricity Rates Increase, Reliability Suffers

With solar panels now selling for as low as $80 per 100-watt panel, even with installation and inverter costs, the recovery time on such an investment is down to like 3-5 years with then 20 years of free electricity. I'm very seriously considering supplementing my Consumers-provided power with some...

Re: What should be done about China?

There's a difference though between thoughtfully choosing your every word for the benefit of the general public vs doing so for your own personal benefit. Again, just my opinion here based on what I've seen, but Fauci's motivation is the latter.

Re: What should be done about China?

I agree that his statements don't rise to the level of treason, but I also don't believe his conclusion was based on a professional evaluation of the situation. To this day he still largely dismisses the theory. And when I listen to him speak in front of Congress, he's always carefully and thoughtfu...

Whitmer proposes paying people $300/week to go back to work

Well if this isn't one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard. “Eligible laid off employees will earn $300 per week bonus for returning to workforce through Sept. 4,” Whitmer said. Michiganders will no longer have to choose to get back to work or still collect a weekly unemployment check. They can now...

Re: Ding-Dong The 1945 EO Law Is Dead!

Exactly BMW! Let's not forget the 1976 EO law remains, which is effective for a month, unless extended by legislature. Moreover, I would add that the only "power grab" that took place here was Whitmer abusing her veto power to prevent the legislature from taking back what was rightfully theirs. I c...

Re: Ding-Dong The 1945 EO Law Is Dead!

Yeah this is definitely some revisionist history from MCRF and Realist as the emergency powers, per the state Constitution, lie WITH THE LEGISLATIVE BRANCH. They only ended up in the hands of the executive branch via voluntary delegation of said powers by the legislative branch. At this point, the l...

Re: Ding-Dong The 1945 EO Law Is Dead!

Also the two democrats on the board of canvassers look like dummies too. I personally think it is worse than that. I think their actions arguably rise to the level of dereliction of duty. It makes me mad that there won't be any further consequences to these 2 people other than being forced to do th...

Re: Heart Inflammation Found in Young People Following Moderna, Pfizer vaccines

226 cases is quite a high number when you consider not only the relatively low vaccination rate among people under age 29, but also when you consider that the total number of Covid deaths for under the age of 30 in the US, lifetime, is only at about 2600 (the vast majority of those of which had seve...

Re: COVID-19 Renamed

Bullshit. I thank Dr. Fauci and Gretchen for getting us through the worst pandemic in 100 years. Both should have statues erected for their efforts. "Getting us through"? :lol Roughly 1/2 of the entire US population got Covid during the first year. Are you suggesting it would have been even worse w...

I didn't know this 'lack of local account during setup' limitation existed until I looked it up. Only exists with WX Home (my company only uses that in a software test / QA environment.) You can still create a local account after the fact, and delete the MS account afterwards... https://docs.micros...

Re: Interracial Couples in TV Ads

It's one thing to intentionally underrepresent a faction, and it's another to intentionally overrepresent. Neither is good. Speaking of intentionally overrepresenting a faction, in home security TV commercials, apparently only white people rob houses: https://thepeoplescube.com/images/Alarm_Commerc...

When he asked for guidance how to set up the damn thing, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get that set up. He connected to wifi already at the first step, and now I can't figure out how to back out of that, which makes me feel tricked by Microsoft. I can't recall if you can go backwa...
