Re: Demotions at Fox47
That is because AJ Walker is not a meteorologist or a forecaster or a person with the most basic weather knowledge. She was told several people at the station that she has gone to school which, after a call to some friends at her former station CBS 62, is proven to be false. She has taken classes an...

Re: CBS Weather Unit
Once again, Sinklair fails in having any factual information in their guesses. Management here was informed that O and O weather departments will be taking over weather for all of the National streaming as The Weather Channel partnership winds down. This is very similar to how FOX O and Os are suppl...

Re: CBS Detroit Job Cuts
So is it his fault he’s an attention seeking whore… or does Paul and his minions have any responsibility for not properly vetting and doing background searches (maybe check out his previous social media posts) prior to bringing him (and others) on to the team? I cannot fault you there. There have a...

He was fired for all of the anti-israel and jewish posts he shared and made on his instagram account. They were posts no true journalist would ever share or use as a journalist should remain non-biased and not share their personal opinions. Coverage of the war has been very well balanced and with Ib...

Rebel, the behind the scenes people that want to leave can go right ahead. The last bad employees hired at the start will be out the door. You are correct he was brought in as a replacement, but for Karen. Kylie now goes to a daypart where she is able to handle the pressure put on the weather person...

Troy will be on mornings and Kylie will be during the days doing shows and from how she tells it special projects and live shots. Stacy is in the PM on the weekend. When we got an email about the changes they told us Karen is just there. A few of us think they will put her on the weekend in the morn...

Re: Weather reporting
All week the folks at 2, 4, 7 have been calling for sunny or partly cloudy skies today. CBS seems to be the only one that got it right. They've had clouds for today since Monday. You may want to stop watching the legacy stations. I do wish our mets here did better with timing like the others however.

He's probably a really nice guy He was in fact, not. 70/30 is a program splitting reporting between daily news and stories of larger significance including human interest pieces. Ratings at KPIX soared a year after they began the 70/30 style and with training for anchors, reporters, weather people ...

Re: Trouble at CBS News Detroit
Ronnie is gone for reasons that despite management staying quiet are enough that he should really be gone. It was a pleasant surprise that management does not treat anchors above the rest of us and most of us are happy he is out of here. The GM visiting is of keen interest to us but the staff at KPI...

Re: How much time off do you get at cbs62
The benefits are the best in the market for anchors and meteorologists. They begin with 3 or 4 weeks vacation time depending on contract, several days of personal time, a week or two of sick time, etc. CBS recognizes the national holidays as paid holidays as well which allows more paid time off. For...

Re: CBS News Detroit
To be frank, weekend newscasts do not seem to be as important as they were long in the past. CBS was the first to break the story about the air show plane crash without a newscast. Would it add more revenue? I would assume so but there is a question of paying more staff. I wonder if they are pulling...

He has also begun going after other journalists. People that are doing real work and not just spreading rumors. More than half of his posts are sharing or posting a one-sided opinion and "asking questions". These are not asking questions rather each post is adding kindling to the conspiracy theorist...

Re: Bondy yelling at viewers
This is great. All you cry babies over Daivd Bondy. He will last longer than you. No M60. He won't. His work is more of the same scare tactics seen too often over the last few years. People are slowly tiring of it which is why he has to beg for new followers every other post. Not to mention the "in...
