After Bill Steffens left TV-13 wx to move to crosstown WOOD-TV, I recall TV-13 often promoting George as a born and raised in West Michigan weathercaster, because Steffens wasn't!

Also have noticed that the weather folks on the WOOD-TV late afternoon/early evening newscasts have been doubling up by also doing traffic! Meghan Bunchman, for whom traffic reports were never a goal or perhaps even an interest, also does in-studio news reports; and recently has been seen anchoring ...

I kinda think Ellen B. wouldn't have been named chief without a commitment to stay there for a while,. especially given WOOD-TV's more recent tradition of long-term chief meteorologists... (Steffen, James, etc.)

re: WNDU South Bend outage of game: I heard that info second hand from a viewer down in St. Joseph County...there's a fairly large area down there where the South Bend, Ind. and Grand Rapids TV signals overlap..

also happened to WNDU-TV in South Bend.... should they be taken to task as well? Or simply in the same boat as WOOD-TV and others in that Nextar hub.....
