It was live for many many years as I recall and watching the cars cruise Woodward live was so much better than the overproduced filler this years show was

Why isn’t WXYZ Woodward dream cruise Live anymore? The pre-recording really takes away from the event.

I’ve noticed a few times a year local 4 has an hour long noon newscast instead of just 30 minutes ? Why do they do this so sporadically?

Anyone have any insight on what happened to WXYZ street side studio? It was being used less and less even before COVID and now I haven’t noticed it being used in months? No noon newscast from it anymore. I drove by about a month ago and it was still there. Did they just abandon the concept?

Any word on if they are building a new set for this? Hopefully not just using a chroma key like the 10pm news on CW50? Also will any of the anchors on the CW50 news have anything to do with this new venture?
