Not sure they'll be able to come back to terrestrial for a fourth time. Unfortunate this has to happen to a great station.

Agreed.dial-it-in wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 9:41 pmDamn, if the Lions stay strong 97.1 is only going to increase their numbers.
If you go on archive.org and look at the Detroit ratings back in 2011-2014, when the Tigers were a winning team, 97.1 was pulling in killer numbers every month, especially during and near the postseason.

Having much better audio quality also probably helps WIOT too. WXKR's audio quality sounds horrible these days.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 7:08 amWIOT from a music standpoint is a pretty rotten station but folks in Toledo seem to like it. Having a big signal advantage over WXKR certainly helps WIOT's cause.

So many stations still aren't subscribed. I've always wondered how Proclaim FM and WGTE perform in the market.

WBVI is satellite-fed. WLKR 1510 in nearby Norwalk OH uses the same feed.

Dave FM gets ditched in San Francisco
As it turns out, people in SF don't care to hear a station mixing playlists from 107.7 The Bone, 103.7 and KOIT (among others) all together. An all around terrible idea for Live 105/Alt 105.3's replacement, and the ratings throughout its existence say it all. I'm thinking a Live 105 revival focusing...

RIP The Edge (for the third time)
104.9 in Battle Creek (and 102.5 in Kalamazoo) both flipped to Urban AC earlier today. I think this will actually work in SW Michigan, good choice of songs that are being played too, but it's still kinda sad to see The Edge get taken away for the third time. RIP The Edge 3.0, you will be missed.

Re: T-Town radio predictions 2023
Here's my take: 1. 100.7 goes from ESPN to CBS Sports Radio in an effort to try and get ratings up. LOL what? CBS Sports Radio is terrible. They forced it onto the Ticket when it was launched in 2013 and it flopped so badly they wound up switching back to ESPN. Where do some of you come up with thi...

Re: 2023 predictions
1. The Overcomer Ministry gets taken off of WNZK, but stays on WCXI. 2. 93.1's country format gets axed for a WJR simulcast. 3. WDET ditches NPR for a Motown/AAA format (This might actually save the station IMO) 4. iHeart enters another round of layoffs. WLLZ will become a WIOT twin and Channel 955 ...

Here's my take: 1. 100.7 goes from ESPN to CBS Sports Radio in an effort to try and get ratings up. 2. Q105 gets axed for Urban AC, Oldies or The Zone 5.0 3. 730/106.9 gets sold to another religious broadcaster 4. 93.5 cuts most (if not all) 70s tracks and replaces them with 90s 5. iHeartRadio makes...

Adrian/Hillsdale is getting a K-LOVE affiliate
According to RadioInsight, Buzz 102.5 was sold to EMF for $285,000. This is a station that Lenawee and Hillsdale county residents really liked, because the signal comes in good throughout most of the area, plus, the classic rock song choices on the station aren't that bad either. What a shame...

Re: 107.7 The Wolf Toledo All Christmas
A format change is very unlikely in my eyes, but I still think it's interesting how they flipped to all Holiday music, as if they thought they could compete with 101.5. The River has been the go-to for Holiday music in Toledo for the past few decades, not to mention 101.5's signal can be heard anywh...

Re: 99X is back in Atlanta, at 100.5 FM.
At a minimum. At the very, very least. Give us a station where we don't have to sit through Def Leppard and Ozzy Osbourne to hear the 90s and 00s rock. Love them both, but it's about time we got our "classic rock" for alternative. classic alternative would be a good replacement for 93.1's boring co...

99X is back in Atlanta, at 100.5 FM.
After years of poor numbers in the Atlanta ratings, and a weekend of Bittersweet Symphony on loop, Rock 100.5 is gone. It's replacement is a return of 99X (Not on a translator or HD signal this time), with a classic alternative format, very similar, if not the same as 91X in San Diego. Will this be ...
