Re: Bally Sports May Lose TV Rights to MLB Next Week

Probably using TV 20 thru mid-April as the overflow for nights when the Tigers, Red Wings, and Pistons are playing simultaneously and Bally has the rights for all three.

It's happened before at the start of the MLB regular season as the NHL and NBA are still winding down.

Re: Rudy Giuliani files for bankruptcy days after being ordered to pay $148 million in defamation case

I can't think of anyone else that was so universally praised and well thought of turn out to be, in reality, such a complete and utter disgrace.

The man could have gone down in history as a hero of sorts. Instead, this is what his legacy will be. What a jackhole.

Re: Both Crumbly parents found guilty.

I'm not going to quote a bunch of stuff. Although I am interested in a response to the first question I asked in this thread. I'd like everyone enthusiastically engaged in this conversation to reach out to your school district and ask what they would do in this hypothetical scenario: A kid comes to...

Re: Both Crumbly parents found guilty.

.... At the time this was all going down inside Oxford HS, foreseeing this kid doing what he did was clearly not something they saw as an imminent threat. It didn't sound like he'd had any documented previous violent outburts at school. They were properly alarmed by what they saw in that drawing --...

Re: Both Crumbly parents found guilty.

The SRO the day of the shooting reportedly went into a restroom, saw a wounded student bleeding profusely, and she did absolutely nothing because she thought "it was a drill." THAT is why I believe criminal charges against her should be considered. Fair enough. Did that part of the lawsuit get anyw...

Re: Both Crumbly parents found guilty.

I'll add that all of the stuff I posted above is based on school admins not knowing that his parents had just bought him a gun.

Had the school known that, it's a completely different discussion.

Re: Both Crumbly parents found guilty.

A lot of Monday morning quarterbacking in this thread. At the time this was all going down inside Oxford HS, foreseeing this kid doing what he did was clearly not something they saw as an imminent threat. It didn't sound like he'd had any documented previous violent outburts at school. They were pro...

Re: Both Crumbly parents found guilty.

Now it's time to charge some school officials who had plenty of red flags to check his locker and backpack. The teachers did nothing wrong (in fact, they sounded the alarm), but the administrators and school resource officer dropped the ball in spectacular fashion. I agree that criminal charges aga...

Re: Get off my lawn: TV news has jumped the shark

Loco 4 handled it way way better at 11 than 2 or 7 did at 10.

I didn't even bother to turn back on 2 or 7 at 11pm

Get off my lawn: TV news has jumped the shark

Flipping between Fox 2 and Channel 7 on 20 covering the building that went kaplooey in Clinton Twp. So, so pathetic. The news directors throw these poor field reporters under the bus by keeping them on live forever when there isn't anything to say that couldn't be said in 5-10 minutes. They don't ev...

Pistons and Red Wings both win their most recent games at the United Center. Feels like that has happened in a decade.

Re: Michigan - Washington thread

Found it more than a little interesting that both the media and the coaches unanimously voted Michigan #1 in their final polls released today. I expected at least a vote or two in each poll for Georgia as #1 as a protest. Either for FSU getting left out of the playoff or for Michigan's various run-i...

Re: College Football 23-24

Agreed.

That was the beauty and frustration of the old way we'd figure out who won a Natty. But too many weren't happy with the both the money being left on the table (prior to establishing conference championship games) and the beauty contest part of determining a champion and here we are.

Re: College Football 23-24

If Georgia loses to Bama, Georgia will no longer be the best team in college football. Solution: Don't lose to Alabama. Everyone wanted college football to be more like the NFL. Well, this is the result. Don't lose when the games mean the most. This will especially be true starting next year with th...
