I'd be really interested to hear you interview Barclay and confront him on the "lies" (real or imagined). That would be entertaining!
...and exactly why it wouldn't ever happen.

Re: "MAY-Cuhm" ?? (Channel 62 critique)
Ah....back in the early '80s when I worked at WPHM, I was told to pronounce it "Port Heer-on" -- and that the other AM station in town, WHLS, pronounced it like the locals and it sounded like Port Urine. Some things you never forget.

Re: WUD T-Vee Speling Errers
Nothing wrong with that email. Spelling, grammar and punctuation errors are running rancid in the media, including newspapers. As a recently retired news editor, I am sickened by it. :barf However, Brad should know that when you use "between," it should read 7 and 8 p.m. From 7-8 p.m . would be corr...

MEM! Grand Haven is blessed to have you on the air. Beats anything offered from GR these days.

I found this a little bit funny:
"It explains why Lauren Scifidi had to pimped herself out and learn yoga to make ends meat."

Re: Jackie Green.... update
Never been a fan of her on-air, and that's an understatement. However, I have great respect for her being so transparent about her intersex and mental health issues. I wish her the best in resolving it all and getting her health in order. After all, that's really all you have is good health, and I t...

Re: Pete Waldmeir, R.I.P.
I remember reading Pete's columns for many years, as my Dad only subscribed to the News. Only got to see the Freep at a family member's house. Pete was great. Sorry to see that he has died, but I thought he was even older than 92.

Wow.
To change the topic, wasn't KC also Chuck Roast, the Host with the Most -- oldies on Sundays on WRIF? Or is my memory cloudy? Chuck Roast: One of the best air names ever.

Re: Meteorologist Haleigh Vaughn Has Cancer
Yes, all the best to Haleigh. Cancer is a bitch, and having completed 6 months of chemo for classical Hodgkin's lymphoma in July, I can say that chemo is a bitch, too. But you got to do what you got to do. Sharing your cancer story, especially ones that have a happy ending (in remission so far!) giv...

While that is true, I am afraid it is more DEvolving over the past 10 to 12 years. The dumbing down of America. Evolving alludes to improvement; that's not what's happening.

Put it on 1340 where they began! Hire me for PD and PM drive, turn it into oldies, and we'd grab a 1 share guaranteed!MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 6:53 pmKudos to her for not picking up the show.Art also tried to get Trish to put it on one of their stations the year before.
They would've been a terrible fit for Star Country.

Re: WWJ news writers
Clare is typically the "up north" beginning. IMO all the way across to Ludington/U.S. 10. Lansing and Mount Pleasant are both mid or central. West Michigan begins about halfway between Lansing and Grand Rapids, roughly where the GR Metro area begins. Then there are southwest Michigan and west-centra...

Re: The B-93Morning Show.
Radio was fun in the '80s. WSNX had the Sunny Money Man handing out cash on the streets of Muskegon. It was real local radio. And many more local promotions that local people actually won. Those were the days, eh?
