Re: Former news anchor (WJRT & WEYI) has died

I don't remember Taff at 25.
I do remember Keith Edwards at 12 then 25, eventually retiring in Fort Wayne.
I go way back to the Luke Choate days watching him on 12.

The days when 12 used to do selected Flint Generals road games from places such as Des Moines, Columbus and Fort Wayne.

Bally/MLB

Looks like Bally is cashing out of the MLB game. From Evan Drellich/X Embattled broadcaster Diamond Sports Group says in 2025 it will stop carrying all but one of the 12 MLB teams it now televises, and those other clubs will either need to renegotiate new contracts with Diamond or find another ...

CHSN Coming to West Michigan OTA

The new Chicago Sports Network is coming to West Michigan OTA. The X maybe ?? https://ibb.co/LpPxkQX On a day where it looks like Bally is dumping every existing MLB contract except Atlanta. From Evan Drellich: BREAKING: Diamond says in court it plans to continue broadcasting one — just one — of the ...

Re: RIP 1470

KMF did air Generals games, you are correct. It was the second and third of home game and complete road games. Carl Robertson did them. I believe KMF, WTRX, WDEY from Lapeer, WFDF and WTAC when they were country were the stations for the Gens and Spirits. Robertson, Hal Maas, Bob Kaser, Rich ...

RIP 1470

Hearing 1470 WFNT was shutdown for good on Dec. 31.

I remember the WKMF Litter Boxes from that era in Flint radio..

My Michigan TV is an online presence.
Roku and Fire TV apps.

It's a channel with all things Michigan, even a Lions show or two.

Re: Jeff Holbrook dies (WWCK)

Such sad news.
He along with the 105 crew was the soundtrack of my hellraising days in the 80’s at the Mikatam, and other watering holes.

Roberta Wray former TV5 reporter and judge died also.

Sad to see this.

Re: Mid-Michigan radio/tv stationreception

I am West of M13 near Chesaning, and 6/53 from Lansing is a blowtorch of a signal. I use an amplified wall antenna and those are the only Lansing stations I get clear. 23 is spotty and pixelated often. Welcome back to Michigan. Old IHL fan here, remember your days in Saginaw calling games. I was a ...

Re: CW 50 to ditch The CW, return to independence

A long shot but with all the RSN bankruptcy issues, the Phoenix Suns left Bally Sports for OTA games next season and Vegas Golden Knights left their RSN for Scripps Sports OTA, could we see this come back to Detroit where 20 or 50 becomes an OTA home for Detroit teams ?

Re: WLNS Lansing CH 6

Year or so maybe longer, 6/53 got new tower and it’s a blowtorch now. The contour map covers a good bit of Saginaw County and well into Genesee County.
Comes in clear and strong even with a paper wall antenna here in James Township.
