Re: Spirit Week

Beer: in your scenario I’m Fred and you’re Ginger. Just try to keep up. Someone’s gotta lead, someone’s gotta follow. We’ll make a beautiful couple someday when you stop stepping on your two left feet. Lovin: Ask people what they want? Why would the HR Director/Party Planner do that? She’d be outta ...

Re: Spirit Week

Read the previous posts to get the answers to your questions. If you can’t read, that’s your problem, not mine, pal. If you don’t like the answers, once again I’m not here to please you, buddy boy. And I will again remind you to stay on topic. If you have nothing to contribute then refocus your ener...

Re: How long until shows are anchored from home?

I think the stress is getting to you, my dear Beer. Your language is devolving into four letter words and you can’t figure out how to stay on topic. I think you should self-isolate yourself for the sake of everyone. Maybe you and Dudley can come up with some better words and use Dudley’s underutiliz...

Re: Spirit Week

Let’s start with the very basics of following corporate safety guidelines, then follow the advice of the Society of Professional Journalists for good measure.

Re: Spirit Week

None of the reporters or photographers I’ve worked with (both at 25-66 and our competitors) feel they have been given adequate protection. We’ve been given some cleaning supplies and we’re told to wash our hands. That’s about it. And then we get notes from management about how hard people who were s...

Re: How long until shows are anchored from home?

Language, my dear Beer! And stay on topic. You seem to forget those two points. Or as my old boss you to say: you can disagree without being disagreeable.

Re: How long until shows are anchored from home?

Why? I question yours all the time...

But once again you’re off topic. Care to add anything, Beer, to the conversation about in-home anchoring? Or do you just prefer to kiss Dudley’s profanity laced butt and show your ignorance...

Are curfews legal? Absolutely. Effective? Remains to be seen.

Re: Spirit Week

Beer: what do I want from management? I believe I’ve laid that out in multiple posts. As far as what I would 25-66 management do to address the stressful time. How about keeping your focus on the staff that are sent out in the field to cover the impact of COVID-19 on our towns and our neighbors. Wha...

Re: How long until shows are anchored from home?

Language, Dudley. There are some delicate flowers that visit the Buzzboard and you don’t want to hurt their feelings. I won’t speculate about the reasons you no longer are welcomed to practice engineering as long as you don’t speculate on my awesome promoter reading skills. OK? My comment was aimed ...

Re: Spirit Week

Nope. I’m not going to “suck it up”. I’m not going to participate in pajama day, because that would just be plain weird to be out interviewing the mayor in my PJs. Maybe for once the HR Director/party planner could just focus on the well-being of those of us who can’t work from home and have to go o...

Spirit Week

Look, a lot of us stressed out and need to blow off some steam. However, 25-66 management is throwing a “virtual spirit week” next week. Dress up with the day’s theme: Monday: Pajama Day Tuesday: TV Character Wednesday: Super Hero Thursday: Sports Team Friday: Red, White & Blue Day The problem is th...

Re: How long until shows are anchored from home?

Dudley, it’s a little more complicated to have multiple anchors on multiple shifts anchoring remotely for extended periods of time. But, yes, the technology is there.

Re: How long until shows are anchored from home?

Sounds like most stations are working on making this happen, but technology seems to be the holdup. Getting a picture back via LiveU/Dejero is the easy part. Teleprompter, communication, access to ENPS, etc. also need to be figured out to make at-home newscast anchoring happen. It’s just a matter of...
