WIOT and WLLZ both run half-hour shortened podcasts during weekend overnights.

Re: Rupert Murdoch Steps Down as Fox Chairman
Rupert didn't run Fox for the most part for a few years now. Lachlan's been running the company and making most of the decisions.

Re: Q105 rebrands to a 90's and 2000's format
100.7 as a talk station would be very identical to WJR from 8 at night to 5 in the morning. Mark Levin, Matt Walsh, Ben Shapiro and Red Eye Radio would almost certainly air there. I don't know Cumulus's current shows right now that are syndicated talk. Talk radio 100.7 had Mark Levin :x and near th...

Re: Relevant Radio expanding into Dayton-Cincinnati
That's a long time ago now, though. WIOT was still decent for a few years later when Grizzly was still there and playing metal at midnight. But then the bean counters, Andy Stuart, Brian Wilson, Andrew Z, etc. ruined both clusters and now Toledo radio makes North Korean state media look listenable....

Re: Relevant Radio expanding into Dayton-Cincinnati
As an avid CHR/AC listener at the time, I thought Toledo's stations in those formats easily beat the socks off their Detroit counterparts. I used to DX WVKS and WTWR from Macomb County when Detroit had no mainstream CHR. WRVF had the tagline "Soft Hit Music" and an interesting lineup of specialty s...

I think Jennings should now become the full-time host too.

Re: Alex Trebek house demolished
Seems like this is common in LA. Demolish an old mansion and build a new one. They did the same thing to Betty White's house. Too bad as Alex's home was beautiful.

Re: McCarthy Lays Groundwork for Biden Impeachment Hearings.....
In some ways, I support term limits, and other times I don't. Marcy Kaptur, from my district in Toledo, has been in the same seat since the early 80's, and she still cares about her constituents. Those in the Senate for the most part, seem to care more about their corporate donors the longer they're...

Re: Al Michaels is going thru the motions
Michaels is a legend, but has been showing his age lately. He was decent when he was still with NBC full-time until the 2022 season, but since he moved to TNF on Prime, he's been phoning it in. I don't know if it's because the games are of lesser quality compared to SNF, but he's starting to become ...

Re: WOMC's Jim "JJ" Johnson Announces Retirement
JJ's a legend for sure in Detroit. Very unusual these days to be in the same market that long? Who knows what will happen on his last show?
