Re: Amp Radio In Boston Goes Big

A couple months back, I heard on 107.5 a mega mix program with EDM AND hip hip. As for Chris....being a drama fag is not cool. He could have worded things better. Ok.... 2002. I was off. I kept hearing outkast everytime I switched it on. I kept hearing rap. I hated it! I wanted CHR/D or CHR. Not hip...

Re: Amp Radio In Boston Goes Big

Obviously Chris, you come here to be a troll. Enough of your drama. You sound soooo gay! Outkast was THE top group, when DRQ flipped. Not just 1 song. Now, if the date was wrong Chris, suck it up like a man. And if I remember, Shania Twain was not hip hop. You are clearly twisting words to fit your ...

Re: From All Access this morning (WPFX has been sold)...

Did Dan Haslinger move the studio out of Maumee? Last time I passed by, the Wolf station van was still there. Been next door to WTOL for a while, right with WIMX, in the Maritime building. Either case, if they did move... nothing live from Luckey...uhh-hum, Maumee... to brag about. I suspect nothin...

Re: From All Access this morning (WPFX has been sold)...

It looks like they changed up their logo and updated their brand a bit. Maybe I'm crazy but it feels like the station is very much targeted toward male listeners. I could be wrong but it has a much different vibe to it than in the past. Also they're pushing "live from Luckey, Ohio." Don't they mean...

Re: Channel 31

That would be ION Television's station, WPXD-TV. It moved from UHF 50 to UHF 24. You might have to try typing in "24" on your TV set so it re-maps to the new frequency. Of course, if you're south of Detroit, that will likely get you WNWO Toledo instead. WNWO's now on UHF 23. They had to move for th...

Re: Amp Radio In Boston Goes Big

In 1999, DRQ was hip hop. Wrong. The station had just transitioned to CHR/Pop. No, they were hip hop. Ghetto music. Competing with 107.5 and 105.9. I remember clearly. I might be a year or 2 early on the 1999 date. But energy stopped being CHR/D in 2010. Q96.9 started around 2000, 2001. Me and my p...

107.5 should do some type of upbeat dance format and get away from the trash that’s currently on there now.
They add some EDM in with the Saturday night dance mix.

Re: BAS gets big FCC fine!

It's just that they're a small company; I am still taken aback how much that they think the value of this property is? Over half a million? I'm thinking that the FCC is not giving allotments for corporate size, regarding fines. I think that's what you are telling us, along with the owners having bi...

Re: Amp Radio In Boston Goes Big

From what I have noticed, L.A. and even Detroit, that all AMP Radios became more Urban, like 96.3 was in the early to mid 90's. Then DRQ went from LGBT Dance to Hip Hop/Urban, then country. notice none of those stations are around today, as they were... with exception to 97-1 Amp (KAMP). If they ie...

Re: BAS gets big FCC fine!

I wonder if the fine was so low for these reasons: 1) Am is clearly dying. fewer and fewer listeners. 2) The signal was not a major one, as in LPFM. 3) Bas had no priors. 4) Was not a "metro" market. Low profile, Lower income. 5) Bas serves the community well. Just my thoughts. I agree, it is just n...

Re: From All Access this morning (WPFX has been sold)...

I don't understand the K100 story. The jocks don't make their own music logs; the programming dept. (or person) takes care of that. If we're talking 10 or 15 years ago, playing McGraw at least once every four hours seems like a no brainer in any event. Maybe initials were required to certify the co...

Re: NBC LX Launches in Detroit

Hearing rumors that WMNT-CD may not renew a contract with 48.2, Antenna TV. Stupid move, in my opinion. Considering that Antenna TV is now editing shows to fit more mostly-PI commercials in, as well a forcing the closing credits to share the same screen with the next show's open, it's probably a go...

Re: Channel 31

The programming on 31 sucks not worth trying to get it in. How many times can one watch Blue Bloods or NCIS (whatever franchise it is this week), Honestly they should move the transmitter back to Ann Arbor and go back to a shopping channel. Was just giving paul that option, as "they" never mentione...

Re: Channel 31

Remember, WTVG Toledo also Has ION. However, you do not get ION+ on WTVG. A decent fringe antenna should easily get it in, if you do not have noise coming from anything or in your amp or around the antenna. Point the antenna due south.
