Re: Ron Cameron

I briefly tuned into the trainwreck. WPON comes in like crap my way, and I usually don’t do streaming. I heard Cowboy, then changed the station. Sounded like the screener or someone else was talking in the background, but again, crappy signal. Ron did say the Saturday show isn’t official yet due to ...

Re: Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer expected to issue coronavirus ‘Stay at home’ order

That’s under the assumption the flu vaccine works. From my experience, it doesn’t. In fact, the one year I had the vaccine, I had the flu not long after. The times I didn’t get one? No flu, at least from my teens onward.

Re: “Stimulus” bill killed

Reread the first part of my post. I said worth less, not worthless, which you agreed with. Look at what a dollar was worth 100 years ago compared to now. Hell, look at a dollar from 1970 compared to now. Zimbabwe printed money like crazy too, even had a 100 trillion dollar bill. It was pretty much w...

Re: Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer expected to issue coronavirus ‘Stay at home’ order

So what about the flu? Car accidents? Plane crashes? Other diseases? Should we just ban everything forever? No thanks. You have to live life, otherwise you are just existing.

I wasn’t around in the late 60s either. I talked to people who were, along with doing research.

Re: “Stimulus” bill killed

On what do you base your conclusions? The country is in debt. Printing money means there’s more of it, meaning it’s worth less. That’s fiat money in a nutshell. If these governors hadn’t shut down large portions of the economy, this wouldn’t have even been considered. How long does this “free money...

MW, tell me why nothing or very little was done during the Hong Kong flu of the late 60s? Life went on.

Sorry, I believe in civil and economic liberties. I don’t think a very small percentage of people dying should get in the way of that. What Gov Barbie is doing is North Korea like.

Re: Idea For Michigan Sports Radio Stations During Quarantine

WTKA airs a classic game (always from the 70s) during Michigan’s bye week. I wouldn’t mind hearing them more often, but CBS Sports Radio and that loser from GR is cheaper.

Re: Longtime Detroit Radio, TV Host Bob Allison Dies At 87

Ask Your Neighbor was never on my regular listening list, in fact I only tuned in a couple times. However, it was obvious how much Bob connected to his listeners, and how it seemed like an extended family. The man certainly had talent. One of the very last of the classic broadcasters.

Re: FSD technicians told to work at Meijer

Folks like fuzzpower couldn't conceive why the NBA and NCAA seaons needed to be postponed... This unfortunate piece of news should erase ALL doubts!!! Yes it sucks, and yes, it’s terrible for him, but it’s one person. An outlier. Still shouldn’t have cancelled the season. To my knowledge, they didn...

Completely against this, just like any other bailout. Not just because I don’t believe in them, but also we can’t afford it. Printing money is not the answer.

Re: Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer expected to issue coronavirus ‘Stay at home’ order

Haven’t checked here in days due to avoiding sensationalist media (and thus no real reason to go to a broadcasting board). Whitmer should be recalled for this. What a way to crash the economy. Of course she will blame others because nothing is ever her fault. Sounds like her mentor Granholm. I would...

I understand the situation, the real situation. I don’t buy what the media and government is telling us.

Re: Trump attacks our Governor?

Whitmer seems like a plastic Barbie to me. If you give the government this kind of power, who knows in what other cases they will use it for. Declaring “emergencies” on everything means the Constitution might as well not exist. The government will run your life to the extreme and you will obey or el...

Re: Trump attacks our Governor?

It’s NOT an emergency! The mortality rate is extremely low. This is just another way for the government to get more into your life and take away your freedoms.
