Re: Nurses “price gouging”

With the numbers of folks being laid off in hospitals all over, I would not think it would take much to offer a job to some of those folks. Housing might be an issue for temp workers though.

Re: Self Quarantine

I'm under mandatory quarantine right now and I'm going stir crazy. I don't want to go shopping or attend a party. I just want to go for a walk or a bike ride. I know I could do it safely by just avoiding other people along the way. But our city has set up a snitch line and one of the neighbours wou...

Re: Florida Deregulates Telegraph

A great example of why most laws should have sunset provisions and need to be updated or replaced every "x" years. Give legislatures more things to do than just sit there trying to come up with new laws.

Re: What you won’t see

Something the lame stream media won’t tell you: 7.7 billion people in the world. 30,000 have died with coronavirus, most with other health issues. That’s 0.0000038961%. You’re going to be okay. You didn't include China's or Russia's real numbers, but those are hard to come by. Could easily double o...

The Miami Herald had an interesting story on the people who need Hydrochloroquine and can’t get it now because of the sudden hype about it: https://apple.news/Ao1VF2x_ETPGgztWEBKMeCg That’s why the restrictions on the medication... doctors have been prescribing themselves and their family members h...

Re: Where is Lee Harvey Oswald when we really need him?

How do you go from 10 to 20 to 30,000, to 300,000 -- even though this is different. Something is going on. And you ought to look into it as reporters. Where are the masks going?" -- Trump suggests that there is some sort of New York nurse conspiracy to steal masks I don't think its a nurse conspira...

WInds are picking up and I am starting to get Multi-Channel interference Heavy on CW50 (RF34), WABL 28 (RF27) Pretty much unwatchable A little on WYXZ 7 (RF 25) WDIV 4 (RF32) Watchable with a few skips No issues with Fox 2 (RF7), WWJ 62 (RF21), PBS 56 (RF20), My20 (RF31) Back when CW50 was on RF14 ...

Re: Whitmer Misses The Mark

You misread. He was getting sicker when they tried it as a last resort. Without having the COVID-19 test results, the wonderful and hard-working doctors basically have their hands tied as certain medications (i.e. steroids, etc.) can potentially make COVID-19 worse. On the morning of March 21st, I ...

Re: RePack Phase 8 started

Anyone have any updates on WHNE? Their facebook page still has their posting from the 12th, anticipating they'd be back 'in a week or two', and it's been about two weeks. Are they making progress or have they been stunted by the Covid shutdowns or some other issue?

Re: Are People In Line For Testing...

Very true. However recent testing sites seem to be focused on the drive thru model which you will hopefully concede eliminates this problem. 100% agree. Hopefully they'll also soon begin to use the 'self-swap' technique which further minimizes the hospital staff's exposure. Also see they have appro...

Re: Trump attacks our Governor?

Latest example of a bone headed move, a move that I suspect has political motives, by the Whitmere administration. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs literally threatened all doctors and pharmacists in the state who prescribe or dispense hydroxychloroquine to tre...

Re: Trump administration blocking PPE and other supplies to Michigan

Whitmer spokeswoman Tiffany Brown confirmed Friday to Crain's that the state needs 400,000 N95 protective medical masks each day for the next several weeks to keep up with demand. [/quote] The numbers just don't add up. How many folks are hospitalized today? How many are tested? How can you possibl...

Re: “Stimulus” bill killed

County by county wouldn't be much different than what we have with state-by-state. It's pretty much voluntary now, except for the businesses that are forced to close. You could build a buffer of counties around those critical counties. If Macomb, Oakland and Wayne were "red" counties you could desig...

Re: Are People In Line For Testing...

HOWEVER, those folks who test negative at that test probably should get tested again in 5 days, because they could have likely contracted it while they were standing in line. Where should they get tested a second time? Standing in line again, waiting to get infected again? That's the point...it is ...

Re: Andrew Cuomo for President?

Seriously? You're comparing someone to what they were like 40 years ago??? Try ten. Trump has always been a bloviator, but at least he makes sense if you don't take him literally. Ok even 10 or 15 years ago he talked more coherently without as much bloviation and non-sensical bullshit. You should n...
