Re: Music squeeze on some stations
It could be that CKLW did this, but I never noticed it at age 17. CKLW used to piss off the Cleveland broadcasters by being at or near the no. 1 ratings. It came into Cleveland like a strong local signal and everybody had a button on the car radio set to "CK"

Re: Music squeeze on some stations
How old are you guys? This has been going on since the '60's when DJ's would wrap a file folder label on the turntable capstan to speed up the record. Faster they go, the more they could play. I'm 68 and didn't hear this on the Cleveland stations I grew up with. Your turntable trick would be very a...

Music squeeze on some stations
Some of the stations in the TC area squeeze the music. It plays faster without changing pitch. Anyone who knows the music will notice the pace has changed, and the song ends early. It is an awful part of processing that ruins the the work of the original artist. If they wanted it that fast they woul...

Thanks for the replies guys. I tried to watch Emergency this morning but it was rolling a lot, twitching and flashing. It wasn't bad yesterday but still not even close to todays cable quality as you see on all the other Spectrum channels.

WXII Ch. 12 analog looks lousey on cable.
Whats with WXII? On Spectrum cable in TC they have flashing, lines, and bars in the picture. Also sound is bad, and sounds out of phase. Cosi TV net. has some good shows on but are un-watchable.

Re: Looks Like 9&10 Is Forgoing News at Noon
I watch 9-10 news every day. I was bummed to see Larry King hawking some cheap pills as a substitute. We don't get WNEM in TC, would be nice.

Re: Posting pictures
Ok thanks. I'll try it. Where are you guys putting up pictures? I used to use photobucket but they charge to use it now. imgur is popular (Google it) - though I haven't used it myself. imgbb is free, doesn't require an account - I've used that easily, but it's not necessarily a recommend. Again - Go...

Edit "location"
I can't seem to find the place for adding my location to the avartar area. I would like to put in "Traverse City". Now that I'm retired I don't need to hide info about me. Thanks.
