Re: Whatever Happened to….

Back around 1979 there was a young lady named Francis Tinsley at WLBS 102.7 when it was an R&B/ Disco station (a clone of NewYork’s WBLS owned by Inner City Broadcasting.) and during that same time there was also a guy named Kim Travis also at WLBS, and one more from WLBS James Brian Siciliano, any...

Re: WWMN back on air

106.3 has been on and off the air today IDing as WJML The greatfull dead station,Del Reynolds is the voice over guy.no sign of the 101.1translator being on. I believe it has been about a year since these frequencies went off the air. I believe that 101.1 translator goes with AM1210. The translator ...

Re: digital TV signals

Is there a single best location to find the list of digital TV signals, sub-channels of the main over-the-air TV signals in West Michigan? (Such as 13-1, 13-2, 13-3, etc.), I believe almost all the major over-the-air TV channels have these sub-channels, many of which are not picked up by area cable...

Re: Bob & Tom Show returning to NW Michigan

No offense, but your snarky post came first. "Snarky post"? I was stating the fact that Del Reynolds hasn't had anything to do with programming of Black Diamond radio stations for several years. TC Talks always posts "facts" about Northern Michigan radio stations, when many times those posts are ju...

Re: Bob & Tom Show returning to NW Michigan

I suspect they offered it for free. Del had a sizable discount because Tom wanted it on at his vacation home. Your a little behind on who does what in radio in Northern Michigan. What does Del have to do with programing this station? Mary and Del sold all of their stations several years ago. No mor...

Re: The new 910AM News Talk Superstation

If the billboard mentions the website and stream, it’s very small. If it’s like the others, 910AM is in large print. Going west on 94 around Paw Paw, it makes no sense with WGTO within at least fringe range. So here's my question: If you couldn't see the fine print, how were you able to ascertain i...

Re: WNEM ATSC 3.0 signal Blackout

Keep in mind that all of the 3.0 signals are coming from WBSF on the WEYI tower. WBSF is the only 3.0 station in the market. WNEM, WJRT, WEYI, WBSF and WSMH primary channels are broadcast on channel 46 (RF 23) on 3.0 WNEM 1.0 has not changed and is broadcast from the tower in Indiantown on channel 5...

Re: 2+ Hours of 100.5 The Fox (2002-2004) digitally archived

Unless your name is Randy, you don't have a clue what happen back in the early 90's at 100.5. Dowd was a air name and I don't remember his real last name. Since there was no internet at that time and AM & FM stations were still owned by one owner (before consolidation), why would I realize or even ...

Re: 2+ Hours of 100.5 The Fox (2002-2004) digitally archived

I didn't pay much attention what was going on with 100.5 after leaving. I knew Bob Liggett, but didn't realize that during all of the consolidation and trading of stations that he had owned 100.5 for awhile. Keep in mind, it wasn't until mid-90's that the FCC allowed consolidation of more than one ...

Re: 2+ Hours of 100.5 The Fox (2002-2004) digitally archived

Liggett Broadcasting owned WTCF-FM from October 1998 until February 2000, when Liggett sold most of its stations to Citadel. In turn, due to FCC caps, Citadel divested WTCF-FM to Wilks Broadcasting, who was responsible for the disaster known as Mix 100. Liggett owned the station when the original i...

June 1999 definitely sounds right to me as the time when they switched to Pirate Radio since I remember listening to Pirate Radio over the summer of 99. Their second go at the Fox was not as good as the first time around, but recovering from the disaster that was WIlks buying the station and changi...

Re: CW 50 to ditch The CW, return to independence

WADL is the likely candidate. I wouldn't rule out a subchannel of WDIV. I'd say a low power channel would be more likely than WMYD or WPXD. I could see CW turning up as a subchannel somewhere - but why WDIV? Does Graham Media Group have any sort of connection to Nexstar? RE a potential 'CW38' - doe...
