Re: NewsNet on WHNE 14.9

I noticed that the reporters on NewsNet have been wearing the same clothes for days now, no wardrobe change whatsoever 😆 😝 😂 Maybe they didn’t receive their first paycheck yet. Doesn't your TV have audio? Mine does, that's is why I would listen to the news as they read it out loud. Does it really m...

Re: NewsNet on WHNE 14.9

When I tuned in on Saturday, the picture quality of 14.9 was terrible. Looked like a low bitrate .mp4 video. There was also an annoying buzz in the audio chain at times. It would behoove WHNE to reduce the number of simultaneous streams. The picture on Get TV also looks grainy, which is unfortunate...

Re: am 1250 Saginaw

WGRY AM now WMQU AM in Grayling is currently licensed for 750 watts. I agree, the coverage area is a few miles, if the wind is blowing hard!

Re: am 1250 Saginaw

Stanwood was WWTG 1070. I used to live on a hill overlooking the farms South of Big Rapids. I used to have dreams of being able to see a new AM Array out there, then tuning my radio with a signal strength meter, and having the signal barely moving from the bottom limit of the d'Arsonval range. Jack...

Re: am 1250 Saginaw

Wow... 640 Kingsley. I was thinking it was lower on the dial, but, to be honest, this was back in like 1978 or maybe 80. I remember some commotion about Kingsley in the early 90's??? I don't recall all that much about it. Did 640 ever actually go on the air up there? Kingsley... did it have anythin...

Re: WCRZ Calls Out Radio Shock Jock

Is it me? I'm missing where that is a joke about rape. It seems to be a joke maybe about having to put up with being around soroty girls or not wanting to date them or have sex with them. I don't see where anyone said anything about the app actually raping her. Do apes only rape their partners? I t...

Re: WHNE channel 14

There is nothing going on today dealing with the repack of channels coming in 2020. WHNE will switch to channel 3 before WTVS switches to channel 20. WMYD currently broadcasts on channel 21 and WHNE broadcasts on channel 20. Both are on the same tower. The transmitters are in the same building, but ...

Re: WHNE adding more channels: 14.9 to be NewsNet

I've stumbled across this site, which indicates that the upstart NewsNet will be on 14.9 in Detroit: http://yournewsnet.com/where-to-see-newsnet/ Perhaps there will soon be a test pattern or teaser loop running? Cheers! Statmanmi CBN's upcoming OTA news network has also listed WHNE as one of their ...

Re: 1260 Zeeland Transmitter site burns

This building was office/studios for many years, but in the early 90's they moved office/studios to Zeeland. The large old building near the AM tower site was then just a transmitter building. In recent years it was rented to a man that located a computer business in the building. Earlier this year ...

Re: WHNE adding more channels

Re: Decades. That's flat out strange. Pretty sure I've seen other markets where it airs on Class A and LP digital stations. Not to mention - one of its JV partners - Weigel Broadcasting - owns such stations!! ABC 57 and CW 25 in South Bend are two such stations. Replacing the (now blank) Movies Cha...

Re: WHNE adding more channels

I hope we get Decades and Luken Communication's Family Channel WHNE has talked with Decades. They basically was told that Decades would rather not be in Detroit, than be on a low power station. Even one that covers the metro with over 4 million population inside it's coverage. Go figure that one???...

I just looked at the FCC site and it says that Northern still owns WSRT. No mention of even an application to transfer to anyone else.

Sorry, I keep forgetting to notice when the above post was made.

Down for a few days and lost before early 2017. Looking closer I see this about the post I replied to: by HD74 » Fri Feb 17, 2017 10:41 am So what, I posted newer info about the repack. What he posted seem old, but I was just wondering how he didn't have more current info. Just trying to keep all of...
